Ook in Duitsland en Frankrijk liggen wetsvoorstellen, waardoor het onderwerp wegwerp-e-sigaretten steeds actueler wordt. De redenen? De argumenten dat jongeren vapen en daarmee het milieu beschermen, worden het meest aangevoerd in de discussies over de verboden.
