Il Comitato economico e sociale europeo (CESE)\u00a0bozza di parere<\/a>\u00a0La revisione della Direttiva sulla tassazione del tabacco (TED) ha riscosso il sostegno di consumatori ed esperti. Essi chiedono all'Unione Europea di adottare un "approccio di tassazione basato sul rischio", avvertendo che tasse elevate e mal concepite possono alimentare il mercato nero, compromettere gli obiettivi sanitari e ridurre le entrate fiscali legali anzich\u00e9 contrastare il fumo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

La World Vapers Alliance ha dichiarato a Planet of the Vapes che la tassazione dovrebbe essere allineata alle differenze di danno tra i prodotti. In base a questo \u201cmeno danni, meno tasse<\/i>\u201dSecondo questa logica, le sigarette tradizionali dovrebbero essere soggette alla tassazione pi\u00f9 elevata, mentre le alternative a minor rischio non dovrebbero essere tassate allo stesso livello.<\/p>\n

Alberto G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez, responsabile delle politiche presso la World Vapers Alliance, ci ha detto:\u00a0\u201cQuesto \u00e8 un messaggio chiaro proveniente dall'interno dell'UE: le tasse devono riflettere le differenze di danno. La Commissione e il Consiglio dovrebbero prenderne atto e cambiare rotta: smettere di tassare tutti i prodotti a base di nicotina allo stesso modo e passare a un sistema realmente basato sul rischio.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
