Sofia, 18.02.2025<\/strong> \u2013 La World Vapers' Alliance (WVA) critica fermamente il recente voto unanime del Parlamento bulgaro per attuare un divieto assoluto di prodotti per lo svapo<\/a>. Questa decisione mal concepita minaccia la salute pubblica e ignora le prove scientifiche che supportano lo svapo come alternativa meno dannosa al fumo.<\/p>\n

La Bulgaria ha uno dei tassi di fumo pi\u00f9 alti al mondo, e non \u00e8 diminuito dalla prima indagine dell'Eurobarometro del 2007. Nonostante questa statistica allarmante, il governo ha scelto di vietare tutti i prodotti per lo svapo, comprese le opzioni senza nicotina, sia nei punti vendita al dettaglio che online. Questa decisione \u00e8 stata presa senza un'adeguata consultazione e rischia di alimentare il mercato nero di prodotti non sicuri.<\/p>\n

Michael Landl, direttore della World Vapers' Alliance, afferma: \u201c"La decisione del governo bulgaro di vietare lo svapo rappresenta un enorme passo indietro nella lotta contro i decessi correlati al fumo. Con uno dei tassi di fumo pi\u00f9 alti dell'UE, la Bulgaria dovrebbe adottare strumenti di riduzione del danno, non vietarli."\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

La WVA sottolinea che lo svapo ha dimostrato di essere un efficace strumento per smettere di fumare. Questo divieto spinger\u00e0 gli adulti che usano lo svapo a tornare a fumare o a rivolgersi al mercato nero, ignorando il potenziale dello svapo nel ridurre significativamente i tassi di fumo, allarmanti in Bulgaria.<\/p>\n

\u201c"Questo divieto avr\u00e0 conseguenze devastanti per la salute pubblica in Bulgaria. \u00c8 semplicemente assurdo che in un Paese in cui il fumo uccide migliaia di persone ogni anno, il governo elimini uno strumento di riduzione del danno comprovato".\u201d<\/em><\/strong> aggiunge Landl.<\/p>\n

La WVA invita il governo bulgaro a votare contro questo disegno di legge nelle fasi successive del processo parlamentare e ad attuare invece politiche basate su prove che aiutino i fumatori a smettere, anzich\u00e9 impedire loro l'accesso ad alternative meno dannose.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
