Le organizzazioni insistono sul fatto che l&#039;OMS dovrebbe invece concentrarsi sul rispetto del suo impegno per ridurre i danni del fumo.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Michael Landl, direttore della World Vapers&#039; Alliance, una delle organizzazioni promotrici dell&#039;appello, ha dichiarato:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>L&#039;OMS ha l&#039;opportunit\u00e0 di sconfiggere definitivamente il fumo, ma invece sceglie di puntare il dito contro lo svapo e altri strumenti che possono ridurre i danni del tabacco. L&#039;OMS ignora sistematicamente la ricchezza di prove scientifiche che indicano i benefici di questi prodotti e l&#039;esperienza diretta di milioni di cittadini che hanno smesso di fumare definitivamente. Limitare o vietare l&#039;accesso allo svapo, alle bustine di nicotina, allo snus e ad altri prodotti non far\u00e0 altro che costare vite umane. Milioni di vite potrebbero essere salvate se l&#039;OMS facesse davvero sul serio nel combattere il fumo.<\/em>. .\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Il 2021 \u00e8 un anno cruciale per le politiche di salute pubblica a livello globale. La conferenza globale &quot;COP 9&quot;, che si terr\u00e0 a novembre, definir\u00e0 la direzione delle politiche antifumo e antisvapo a livello mondiale.
