Au contraire, la pr\u00e9sidence chypriote semble moduler les taux d&#039;imposition selon les cat\u00e9gories de produits afin de trouver un accord acceptable pour tous les \u00c9tats membres.<\/p>\n<p>Il s&#039;agit de la derni\u00e8re modification d&#039;une s\u00e9rie intervenue depuis la publication de la proposition initiale de la Commission, et aucune justification technique n&#039;a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 fournie pour ces variations successives des taux. Par rapport \u00e0 la version pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, le texte actuel abaisse les taux propos\u00e9s pour les cigares et cigarillos, le tabac chauff\u00e9 et les sachets de nicotine, tout en relevant le taux cible final pour les liquides \u00e0 usage \u00e9lectronique.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c Il est d\u00e9sormais clair que la sant\u00e9 publique passe apr\u00e8s les tractations politiques et qu\u2019aucune approche fond\u00e9e sur des preuves ne guide ces choix fiscaux \u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Alberto G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez, responsable des politiques \u00e0 la World Vapers Alliance.<\/p>\n<p>Face au m\u00e9contentement des \u00c9tats membres concernant la forte hausse des taxes sur les cigarettes et les produits du tabac traditionnels, et aux objections de la Su\u00e8de quant au taux minimal de la taxe d&#039;accise sur les sachets de nicotine, la pr\u00e9sidence a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de r\u00e9duire ces taux pour approbation. En contrepartie, les taxes sur les e-liquides ont \u00e9t\u00e9 augment\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u00a0Les produits nicotiniques moins nocifs servent de monnaie d\u2019\u00e9change dans les n\u00e9gociations entre les \u00c9tats membres. Le d\u00e9bat ne porte pas sur l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de la sant\u00e9 publique, mais sur l\u2019augmentation des recettes fiscales tout en satisfaisant tous les \u00c9tats membres\u00a0\u201d, a ajout\u00e9 G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Alliance mondiale des vapoteurs exhorte les \u00c9tats membres de l\u2019UE \u00e0 rejeter un cadre fiscal fond\u00e9 sur des compromis politiques plut\u00f4t que sur des donn\u00e9es scientifiques.
