Ils ont soulign\u00e9 que l&#039;approche actuelle de l&#039;OMS contre le vapotage \u2019 entra\u00eenera une augmentation des d\u00e9c\u00e8s et des souffrances li\u00e9s au tabagisme \u201c. \u201d Cent experts se sont exprim\u00e9s, et les consommateurs s&#039;accordent \u00e0 dire que le vapotage et les autres m\u00e9thodes de r\u00e9duction des risques li\u00e9s au tabac doivent \u00eatre au c\u0153ur des mesures visant \u00e0 sauver des vies. Il est temps de mettre fin \u00e0 la guerre contre le vapotage \u201c, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Michael Landl, directeur de la WVA.<\/p>\n<p>Un communiqu\u00e9 de presse de la WVA a soulign\u00e9 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 pour l&#039;OMS de reconna\u00eetre l&#039;inefficacit\u00e9 de sa m\u00e9thodologie et de consulter la communaut\u00e9 scientifique et les consommateurs afin de sauver des millions de vies. \u201c Nous pr\u00e9sentons ci-dessous nos trois principales demandes \u00e0 l&#039;Organisation mondiale de la Sant\u00e9 en amont de sa conf\u00e9rence sur la lutte antitabac, la COP9, qui se tiendra en novembre : \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>CE QUE LES CONSOMMATEURS ATTENDENT DE L&#039;OMS\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-bottom: 12px;\">\n<li>LA RECONNAISSANCE ET L&#039;INT\u00c9GRATION DES M\u00c9THODES DE R\u00c9DUCTION DES M\u00c9FIES LI\u00c9ES AU TABAC<\/li>\n<li>LE DROIT D&#039;ACC\u00c8S ET D&#039;ABORDABILIT\u00c9 POUR LES CONSOMMATEURS<\/li>\n<li>LA PARTICIPATION EFFICACE DES CONSOMMATEURS AUX DISCUSSIONS DE LA COP9\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Les pays qui suivent les recommandations de l&#039;OMS continuent de lutter contre des taux de tabagisme plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 ces arguments, un r\u00e9cent livre blanc de 59 pages, pr\u00e9sentant des \u00e9tudes de cas men\u00e9es dans plusieurs pays pour mesurer les progr\u00e8s r\u00e9alis\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re de sevrage tabagique, a montr\u00e9 que ceux qui suivent les recommandations de l&#039;Organisation mondiale de la sant\u00e9 continuent de lutter contre des taux de tabagisme plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Intitul\u00e9e \u201c\u00a0Vapoter, \u00e7a marche. Meilleures pratiques internationales\u00a0: Royaume-Uni, Nouvelle-Z\u00e9lande, France et Canada\u00a0\u201d, cette publication, \u00e9dit\u00e9e par la Property Rights Alliance, pr\u00e9sente quatre \u00e9tudes de cas r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par Christopher Snowdon (Institute of Economic Affairs, Royaume-Uni), Louis Houlbrooke (New Zealand Taxpayers&#039; Union, Nouvelle-Z\u00e9lande), Patrick Coquart (IREF, France) et le professeur Ian Irvine (Universit\u00e9 Concordia, Canada). Elle confirme ainsi les observations des experts en sant\u00e9 publique.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c Les pays appliquant des politiques progressistes de r\u00e9duction des risques li\u00e9s au tabac constatent une baisse significative des taux de tabagisme.
