L&#039;une des questions r\u00e9currentes est celle d&#039;une augmentation des taxes sur les produits de vapotage. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bien que l&#039;intention puisse \u00eatre de r\u00e9pondre aux pr\u00e9occupations de sant\u00e9 publique et de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des recettes pour l&#039;\u00c9tat, il est essentiel d&#039;examiner de mani\u00e8re critique les pi\u00e8ges potentiels d&#039;une telle mesure.<\/p>\n<p>Dans un r\u00e9cent <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/south-africas-new-vaping-tax-wont-deter-young-smokers-209838\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tribune libre<\/a> publi\u00e9 dans <em>La conversation<\/em>, Les professeurs Nicole Vellios et Corne van Walbeek ont exprim\u00e9 des r\u00e9serves quant \u00e0 la proposition fiscale actuelle du gouvernement sud-africain. Dans leur article, ils pr\u00e9conisent une taxe d&#039;accise minimale sur tous les produits de vapotage et une augmentation de la taxe d&#039;accise sur les cigarettes \u00e9lectroniques index\u00e9e sur le taux d&#039;inflation, major\u00e9e d&#039;un pourcentage suppl\u00e9mentaire annonc\u00e9 au pr\u00e9alable.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Cons\u00e9quences impr\u00e9vues<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Une nouvelle hausse automatique des taxes inciterait involontairement les vapoteurs \u00e0 reprendre le tabac ou \u00e0 se tourner vers le march\u00e9 illicite non r\u00e9glement\u00e9. Pour ceux qui ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 arr\u00eater de fumer gr\u00e2ce au vapotage, une augmentation des taxes pourrait constituer une charge financi\u00e8re les poussant \u00e0 recommencer \u00e0 fumer.<\/p>\n<p>De telles cons\u00e9quences impr\u00e9vues pourraient aggraver les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 li\u00e9s au tabagisme et entraver les objectifs g\u00e9n\u00e9raux de sant\u00e9 publique.<\/p>\n<p>Il y a beaucoup de <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/36103752\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">preuve<\/a> Le vapotage et les cigarettes sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme des produits de substitution.
