Si l&#039;arr\u00eat brutal fonctionne pour certains, <a href=\"https:\/\/excommunity.becomeanex.org\/community\/expert-advice\/blog\/2016\/03\/23\/does-cold-turkey-work-best\">95% de fumeurs<\/a> Ceux qui tentent d&#039;arr\u00eater brutalement \u00e9chouent. Pourtant, en pleine campagne nationale visant \u00e0 encourager les fumeurs \u00e0 arr\u00eater, le gouvernement propose d&#039;interdire les cigarettes \u00e9lectroniques aromatis\u00e9es, dans une tentative malavis\u00e9e de lutter contre le vapotage chez les jeunes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Les cigarettes \u00e9lectroniques aromatis\u00e9es jouent un r\u00f4le essentiel pour les fumeurs qui souhaitent arr\u00eater. Les consommateurs adultes qui ont utilis\u00e9 le vapotage pour arr\u00eater de fumer affirment que les ar\u00f4mes, autres que le tabac, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 un facteur d\u00e9terminant pour les emp\u00eacher de rechuter. En utilisant des e-liquides aromatis\u00e9s, ils <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/32501490\/\">230\u00a0% plus susceptibles d'arr\u00eater de fumer<\/a> fumer plut\u00f4t que d&#039;utiliser des cigarettes aromatis\u00e9es au tabac.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Selon un rapport r\u00e9cent, <a href=\"https:\/\/consumerchoicecenter.org\/why-vape-flavors-matter\/\">\u201c Pourquoi les ar\u00f4mes des cigarettes \u00e9lectroniques sont-ils importants ? \u201d<\/a>, Interdire les ar\u00f4mes pourrait contraindre un quart de million d&#039;anciens fumeurs aux Pays-Bas \u00e0 reprendre cette habitude. Toute tentative d&#039;interdire les ar\u00f4mes ou de priver les fumeurs d&#039;alternatives doit \u00eatre abrog\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">En 2007, pr\u00e8s d&#039;un quart de la population n\u00e9erlandaise fumait quotidiennement. Ce chiffre est tomb\u00e9 \u00e0 161\u00a0000 fumeurs en 2018 et continue de diminuer. Interdire les cigarettes \u00e9lectroniques aromatis\u00e9es risque de freiner brutalement ces progr\u00e8s et d&#039;obtenir l&#039;effet inverse de celui recherch\u00e9 par STOPtober, en rendant le sevrage tabagique plus difficile.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">En tant qu&#039;observateur international, les Pays-Bas ont toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 per\u00e7us comme une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 ouverte, sceptique face aux r\u00e9glementations et interdictions superflues, mais pas cette fois-ci. Si les diff\u00e9rents pouvoirs de l&#039;\u00c9tat ne communiquent pas entre eux, on aboutit \u00e0 des r\u00e8gles illogiques, contraires \u00e0 l&#039;objectif principal des grandes campagnes de sant\u00e9 publique.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Dans l&#039;esprit de STOPtober, j&#039;exhorte le secr\u00e9taire d&#039;\u00c9tat \u00e0 la Sant\u00e9, Paul Blokhuis, \u00e0 renoncer \u00e0 cette approche id\u00e9ologique. Il faut abandonner cette interdiction malavis\u00e9e des ar\u00f4mes et \u0153uvrer \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation du v\u00e9ritable objectif de r\u00e9duction des m\u00e9faits du tabagisme en adoptant des solutions pragmatiques qui auront un impact positif concret.
