Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9duit de moiti\u00e9 environ depuis 2013, avec des baisses observ\u00e9es dans tous les groupes d&#039;\u00e2ge et chez les deux sexes.<\/p>\n<p>Les chiffres sont frappants. Chez les 18-29 ans, la consommation quotidienne de tabac a chut\u00e9 \u00e0 2,9\u00a0%. L\u2019usage de sachets de nicotine et de snus dans cette m\u00eame tranche d\u2019\u00e2ge est de 29\u00a0%. La tendance est claire\u00a0: \u00e0 mesure que des alternatives moins nocives sont devenues plus accessibles, les fumeurs se sont tourn\u00e9s vers elles. La Su\u00e8de n\u2019a pas obtenu ce r\u00e9sultat par l\u2019interdiction, mais en offrant des choix \u00e0 sa population.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Landl, directeur de la World Vapers&#039; Alliance, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 :<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201c La Su\u00e8de prouve l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 de la r\u00e9duction des risques lorsque les d\u00e9cideurs politiques fondent leurs politiques sur des donn\u00e9es probantes et font confiance aux consommateurs. L\u2019obtention d\u2019un statut v\u00e9ritablement sans tabac n\u2019est pas le fruit du hasard, mais le r\u00e9sultat direct d\u2019un acc\u00e8s, depuis des d\u00e9cennies, \u00e0 des alternatives moins nocives pour les fumeurs adultes. Pendant que Bruxelles d\u00e9bat des interdictions d\u2019ar\u00f4mes et de l\u2019augmentation des taxes, la Su\u00e8de montre au reste de l\u2019Europe \u00e0 quoi ressemble une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 v\u00e9ritablement sans tabac. L\u2019UE devrait s\u2019inspirer de la Su\u00e8de, et non saper l\u2019approche m\u00eame qui a permis d\u2019atteindre ce succ\u00e8s. \u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le contraste avec la politique de l&#039;UE est saisissant. Alors que la Su\u00e8de c\u00e9l\u00e8bre une avanc\u00e9e majeure en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 publique fond\u00e9e sur la r\u00e9duction des risques, Bruxelles prend la direction oppos\u00e9e. Restrictions sur les ar\u00f4mes, taxes punitives sur les produits nicotiniques alternatifs et pressions croissantes pour assimiler tous les produits nicotiniques aux cigarettes combustibles\u00a0: telles sont les caract\u00e9ristiques de la politique antitabac de l&#039;UE aujourd&#039;hui. Ce sont pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment les politiques que la Su\u00e8de n&#039;a jamais adopt\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>La Su\u00e8de enregistre 411\u00a0000 cas de cancers li\u00e9s au tabac de moins et une mortalit\u00e9 li\u00e9e au tabac inf\u00e9rieure de 441\u00a0000 \u00e0 la moyenne de l\u2019UE. Cet \u00e9cart n\u2019est pas le fruit du hasard.<\/p>\n<p>L&#039;Alliance mondiale des vapoteurs appelle les d\u00e9cideurs politiques de l&#039;UE \u00e0 prendre au s\u00e9rieux l&#039;exp\u00e9rience su\u00e9doise. Une r\u00e9glementation proportionn\u00e9e aux risques est efficace.
