M. Chambers a soulign\u00e9 la volont\u00e9 de faire avancer cette mesure lors du prochain budget d&#039;octobre, et des informations d\u00e9taill\u00e9es seront d\u00e9voil\u00e9es le jour de la pr\u00e9sentation du budget. Cette taxe est en cours d&#039;\u00e9laboration en vue de sa mise en \u0153uvre en 2025.<\/p>\n<p>En mai dernier, le gouvernement irlandais a approuv\u00e9 une interdiction de la vente de produits du tabac aux <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2022\/12\/26\/englands-legal-smoking-age-may-be-raised-from-18-to-21\/\">personnes de moins de 21 ans<\/a>. Cette mesure, visant \u00e0 r\u00e9duire le taux de tabagisme dans le pays, fait suite \u00e0 des donn\u00e9es montrant une forte vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 au tabagisme chez les jeunes adultes de 18 \u00e0 21 ans. Il est \u00e0 noter que les cigarettes \u00e9lectroniques sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme des outils de sevrage tabagique et sont donc exempt\u00e9es de cette interdiction.<\/p>\n<p>L&#039;Irlande ambitionne de devenir le premier pays de l&#039;UE \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre une telle mesure, visant \u00e0 abaisser le taux de tabagisme chez les adultes en dessous de 51 %. Bien que la l\u00e9gislation propos\u00e9e exempte les jeunes de 18 \u00e0 20 ans de l&#039;interdiction, celle-ci ne s&#039;appliquera pas \u00e0 cette tranche d&#039;\u00e2ge pendant une p\u00e9riode transitoire. Par ailleurs, elle ne modifie pas l&#039;\u00e2ge l\u00e9gal minimum pour la cigarette \u00e9lectronique.
