Toutefois, si cette recommandation marque un tournant d\u00e9cisif en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 publique, elle met \u00e9galement en lumi\u00e8re les graves difficult\u00e9s d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 ces traitements rencontr\u00e9es par les fumeurs en Afrique subsaharienne.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>La crise de l&#039;accessibilit\u00e9 financi\u00e8re en Afrique<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malgr\u00e9 les avantages potentiels de ces recommandations, la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 est sombre pour 77 millions de fumeurs adultes en Afrique subsaharienne. Le co\u00fbt des traitements recommand\u00e9s demeure prohibitif pour la majeure partie de la population.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selon <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC10276598\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00e9tudes r\u00e9centes<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Le prix moyen d&#039;un traitement complet par substituts nicotiniques ou m\u00e9dicaments sur ordonnance peut d\u00e9passer le revenu mensuel de nombreux m\u00e9nages africains. Cet obstacle financier rend l&#039;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des traitements efficaces de sevrage tabagique quasi impossible pour des millions de fumeurs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L&#039;in\u00e9galit\u00e9 d&#039;acc\u00e8s aux traitements de sevrage tabagique illustre de fa\u00e7on frappante les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s de sant\u00e9 plus g\u00e9n\u00e9rales qui persistent entre pays \u00e0 revenu \u00e9lev\u00e9 et pays \u00e0 faible revenu. Dans de nombreux pays africains, les syst\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 fortement sollicit\u00e9s et les ressources allou\u00e9es aux soins pr\u00e9ventifs sont limit\u00e9es.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le co\u00fbt \u00e9lev\u00e9 des traitements de sevrage tabagique aggrave encore ces difficult\u00e9s, ne laissant \u00e0 de nombreux fumeurs aucune solution viable pour arr\u00eater de fumer. L&#039;Afrique du Sud est actuellement le seul pays d&#039;Afrique \u00e0 disposer de recommandations sp\u00e9cifiques en mati\u00e8re de sevrage tabagique.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L&#039;absence de la r\u00e9duction des risques dans les propositions de la feuille de route de l&#039;OMS pour lutter contre la crise du tabagisme est d\u00e9concertante.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La plupart des pays africains allouent des ressources minimales, voire inexistantes, \u00e0 la lutte antitabac.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cependant, la r\u00e9duction des risques li\u00e9s au tabac repr\u00e9sente une intervention peu co\u00fbteuse pour les gouvernements, car les fabricants prennent en charge les co\u00fbts de recherche et d\u00e9veloppement, tandis que les consommateurs en assument le prix d&#039;achat.
