Dacca, Bangladesh \u2014<\/strong> Le minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 et du Bien-\u00eatre familial du Bangladesh a initi\u00e9 et trait\u00e9 les amendements suppl\u00e9mentaires \u00e0 la loi de 2013 modifiant la loi sur le tabagisme et l'usage des produits du tabac (contr\u00f4le).<\/p>\n

Les amendements seront interdire<\/a> la production, l'importation, l'exportation, le stockage, la vente et le transport des cigarettes \u00e9lectroniques et de leurs composants.<\/strong> Les cons\u00e9quences du non-respect de cette loi potentielle seront s\u00e9v\u00e8res : une peine d'emprisonnement maximale de 6 mois, une amende, ou les deux.<\/p>\n

La principale raison de ces amendements est d'atteindre l'objectif d'un Bangladesh sans tabac d'ici 2040, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le ministre. a affirm\u00e9<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201c Il est paradoxal que les autorit\u00e9s sanitaires du Bangladesh ne tiennent pas compte de l'\u00e9chec de l'interdiction du vapotage dans leur pays voisin, l'Inde. Bien au contraire, elles pr\u00e9conisent une approche prohibitionniste similaire, vou\u00e9e d'embl\u00e9e \u00e0 l'\u00e9chec, susceptible de favoriser l'\u00e9mergence d'un commerce illicite et de mettre en danger des millions de vies en incitant les vapoteurs \u00e0 retourner fumer. \u00bb.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

La seule solution r\u00e9aliste et pragmatique pour atteindre un objectif sans tabac au Bangladesh et dans le monde est le sevrage tabagique, et principalement le vapotage, qui a fait ses preuves. 95% moins nocif <\/a>que les cigarettes conventionnelles et deux fois plus efficace<\/a> \u201d\u00a0Pour arr\u00eater de fumer, elle est plus efficace que les autres m\u00e9thodes de r\u00e9duction des risques pour les fumeurs.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> \u2013 a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Liza Katsiashvili, responsable de la communaut\u00e9 de WVA.<\/p>\n
