Mon m\u00e9decin a insist\u00e9 sur le fait que mon cas \u00e9tait rare et que je devais absolument arr\u00eater de fumer. Je savais qu&#039;il avait raison\u00a0; je l&#039;avais entendu toute ma vie. Ma famille, mes amis et d&#039;autres personnes me le r\u00e9p\u00e9taient presque quotidiennement\u00a0: je savais que les cigarettes \u00e9taient mortelles et que je raccourcissais ma vie en ne cessant pas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mon caillot de sang a boulevers\u00e9 ma vie. Je devais me promener avec une bo\u00eete \u00e0 seringues, car je devais m&#039;administrer les injections de Lovenox qui m&#039;avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 prescrites toutes les 12 heures, sans faute. Ces injections doivent \u00eatre faites \u00e0 quelques centim\u00e8tres du nombril, et elles sont tr\u00e8s douloureuses. De plus, comme ce m\u00e9dicament est cens\u00e9 fluidifier le sang, il provoque des ecchymoses lorsqu&#039;on se l&#039;injecte soi-m\u00eame.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mon ventre ressemblait \u00e0 une cible de fl\u00e9chettes noire et bleue. Un rappel criant chaque matin, lorsque je me voyais dans le miroir. C&#039;\u00e9tait \u00e0 cause de mon choix de fumer que j&#039;en \u00e9tais arriv\u00e9e l\u00e0.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">J&#039;ai essay\u00e9 toutes les options recommand\u00e9es par mon m\u00e9decin. Aucune n&#039;a fonctionn\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alors devinez ce que j&#039;ai fait ? J&#039;ai fum\u00e9. Mon habitude avait une telle emprise sur moi que j&#039;ai \u00e9t\u00e9 contrainte de mettre encore plus ma sant\u00e9 en danger, alors m\u00eame que j&#039;\u00e9tais litt\u00e9ralement un exemple ambulant des raisons pour lesquelles je devrais arr\u00eater.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alors pourquoi suis-je frustr\u00e9 ?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Comme je l&#039;ai mentionn\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment, les d\u00e9fenseurs du vapotage adorent raconter leur histoire. Ces histoires sont souvent qualifi\u00e9es d&#039;anecdotiques. Mais \u00e0 partir de quand des anecdotes deviennent-elles des donn\u00e9es concr\u00e8tes\u00a0? Une ou deux histoires, d&#039;accord, ce sont peut-\u00eatre des anecdotes. Mais quand on a des milliers et des milliers de t\u00e9moignages d&#039;anciens fumeurs qui ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 arr\u00eater\u00a0! L\u00e0, ce sont forc\u00e9ment des donn\u00e9es.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On nous explique que les t\u00e9moignages anecdotiques reposent sur des r\u00e9cits individuels plut\u00f4t que sur des recherches ou des statistiques fiables, et qu&#039;ils peuvent donc ne pas \u00eatre valides.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mais des t\u00e9moignages anecdotiques peuvent compl\u00e9ter le tableau. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preuves anecdotiques<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0peut \u00eatre un indicateur important de la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de poursuivre les recherches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c0 mon avis, il est temps que les autorit\u00e9s de sant\u00e9 publique prennent en compte ces t\u00e9moignages. La communaut\u00e9 des personnes ayant arr\u00eat\u00e9 de fumer ne compte pas et ignorer tous ces adultes qui ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 se sevrer de la drogue est une erreur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Ces t\u00e9moignages m\u00e9ritent d&#039;\u00eatre entendus, compris et pris en compte comme des donn\u00e9es concr\u00e8tes lors de l&#039;\u00e9laboration des politiques et des d\u00e9cisions. Chaque jour, des personnes meurent de maladies li\u00e9es au tabagisme.
