Le lundi 8 novembre, la commission sp\u00e9ciale du Parlement europ\u00e9en sur la lutte contre le cancer s'est r\u00e9unie pour examiner les amendements au projet de rapport du rapporteur.<\/h5>\n

Le Comit\u00e9 sp\u00e9cial du Parlement europ\u00e9en sur la lutte contre le cancer (BECA<\/a>Cr\u00e9\u00e9e en septembre 2020, la commission du cancer est compos\u00e9e de 63 d\u00e9put\u00e9s europ\u00e9ens, dont 33 membres titulaires et 30 suppl\u00e9ants. Son objectif est d'examiner les mesures que l'UE peut prendre pour lutter contre le cancer, en proposant des actions \u00e0 chaque \u00e9tape cl\u00e9 de la maladie\u00a0: pr\u00e9vention, diagnostic, traitement, suivi des personnes ayant surv\u00e9cu au cancer et soins palliatifs.<\/p>\n

Le 3 f\u00e9vrier 2021, la Commission a publi\u00e9 Le plan europ\u00e9en de lutte contre le cancer<\/a> avec consultations<\/a> sur la feuille de route allant du 4 f\u00e9vrier au 3 mars 2020 et sur le rapport allant du 4 f\u00e9vrier au 21 mai 2020.<\/p>\n

Le projet de rapport<\/a> Le rapport \u00ab\u00a0Vaincre le cancer\u00a0\u00bb a finalement \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9 le 25 juin et, au grand dam des sp\u00e9cialistes de la r\u00e9duction des risques li\u00e9s au tabac, il n'a pas pris en compte le potentiel du vapotage dans la lutte contre les cancers induits par le tabagisme. \u00c0 l'\u00e9poque, le directeur de la World Vapers Association (WVA), Michael Landl, a soulign\u00e9 que ce document repr\u00e9sentait une am\u00e9lioration par rapport au projet de la Commission europ\u00e9enne, qui laissait la porte ouverte \u00e0 l'interdiction des ar\u00f4mes et \u00e0 une hausse des taxes, mais qu'en ignorant le potentiel des produits de vapotage, il manquait encore son objectif.<\/p>\n
