Toutefois, en omettant de se prononcer clairement sur le potentiel du vapotage et de la r\u00e9duction des risques dans la lutte contre les cancers li\u00e9s au tabagisme, le rapport du Parlement europ\u00e9en manque son objectif.<\/p>\n<p>Le directeur de la WVA, Michael Landl, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 :<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab<em>Les d\u00e9put\u00e9s europ\u00e9ens ont pris le temps d&#039;\u00e9couter les vapoteurs et leurs t\u00e9moignages, ainsi que d&#039;examiner les nombreuses preuves pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es par les experts. Le vapotage pourrait sauver 19 millions de vies suppl\u00e9mentaires en Europe si des politiques appropri\u00e9es sont mises en place.<\/em>&quot;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c Mais le Parlement n\u2019a pas encore pleinement soutenu le vapotage comme outil d\u2019aide au sevrage tabagique. Il est essentiel que les vapoteurs continuent de t\u00e9moigner et de veiller \u00e0 ce que leurs repr\u00e9sentants comprennent comment le vapotage les a aid\u00e9s \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer leur vie. \u201d <\/em>Landl a ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Le rapport du Parlement europ\u00e9en ne classe pas explicitement le vapotage dans la m\u00eame cat\u00e9gorie que les cigarettes classiques, et c&#039;est une bonne chose. Cependant, avec la r\u00e9vision compl\u00e8te de la directive sur les produits du tabac qui se profile et les propositions de la Commission europ\u00e9enne visant \u00e0 assimiler les cigarettes \u00e9lectroniques au tabac, les vapoteurs doivent se faire entendre encore plus fort.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNous continuerons de lutter pour une r\u00e9glementation raisonnable du vapotage en Europe et encourageons tous les eurod\u00e9put\u00e9s \u00e0 examiner les donn\u00e9es scientifiques et \u00e0 soutenir le vapotage comme m\u00e9thode de r\u00e9duction des risques. Interdire les ar\u00f4mes et augmenter les taxes ne fera que compliquer la transition pour les fumeurs. La version finale du Plan du Parlement europ\u00e9en pour vaincre le cancer devrait \u00eatre pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e cet automne.
