Euroopan parlamentin sy\u00f6v\u00e4n torjuntaa k\u00e4sittelev\u00e4 erityisvaliokunta kokoontui maanantaina 8. marraskuuta keskustelemaan esittelij\u00e4n mietint\u00f6luonnokseen tekemist\u00e4 tarkistuksista.<\/h5>\n

Euroopan parlamentin sy\u00f6v\u00e4n torjuntaa k\u00e4sittelev\u00e4 erityisvaliokunta (BECA<\/a>) perustettiin syyskuussa 2020, ja siihen kuuluu 63 Euroopan parlamentin j\u00e4sent\u00e4, 33 varsinaista j\u00e4sent\u00e4 ja 30 varaj\u00e4sent\u00e4. Valiokunnan tavoitteena on tarkastella toimia, joita EU voi toteuttaa sy\u00f6v\u00e4n torjumiseksi, ja ehdottaa toimia taudin kaikissa keskeisiss\u00e4 vaiheissa: ehk\u00e4isyss\u00e4, diagnosoinnissa, hoidossa, sy\u00f6p\u00e4st\u00e4 selviytyneen\u00e4 ja palliatiivisessa hoidossa.<\/p>\n

Komissio julkaisi 3. helmikuuta 2021 Euroopan sy\u00f6v\u00e4ntorjuntasuunnitelma<\/a> kanssa konsultaatiot<\/a> etenemissuunnitelmasta 4. helmikuuta \u2013 3. maaliskuuta 2020 ja raportista 4. helmikuuta \u2013 21. toukokuuta 2020.<\/p>\n

The mietint\u00f6luonnos<\/a> Sy\u00f6v\u00e4n voittamisesta julkaistiin lopulta 25. kes\u00e4kuuta, ja tupakkatuotteiden haittojen v\u00e4hent\u00e4misen asiantuntijoiden kauhuksi siin\u00e4 ei tunnistettu h\u00f6yryttelyn potentiaalia tupakoinnin aiheuttaman sy\u00f6v\u00e4n torjunnassa.
