\n<\/span>At the time, we hoped the wave of strikes and takedowns was a glitch, or at least a passing over-correction.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Three years later, it\u2019s clear that it wasn\u2019t.<\/span><\/p>\n

D\u00e9j\u00e0 Vu in 2025: GrimmGreen Speaks Out Again<\/b><\/h5>\n

If you follow <\/span>@GrimmGreen on X<\/b><\/a>, you\u2019ve probably seen his latest posts documenting another round of <\/span>content removals and warnings from YouTube<\/b>. Videos that have educated and supported adult vapers for over a decade are once again being flagged \u2014 not because they sell or promote products to minors, but because they dare to discuss tobacco harm reduction in a factual, adult-oriented way.<\/span><\/p>\n

As Grimm put it, <\/b>\u201cI\u2019ve spent 16 years trying to help smokers switch to something that can save their lives \u2014 and YouTube is still treating that like a crime.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

He\u2019s not exaggerating. Creators who helped shape responsible vaping culture are now forced to censor or delete videos, leaving gaps in information that once helped adults transition away from cigarettes.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Harm in Silencing Harm Reduction<\/b><\/h5>\n

This is more than a \u201ccontent policy issue.\u201d It\u2019s a public-health problem.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Removing evidence-based discussion about vaping doesn\u2019t protect anyone \u2014 it <\/span>buries lifesaving information<\/b> that could help smokers quit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Platforms like YouTube claim to be protecting youth, but in doing so they are erasing entire libraries of content designed for and viewed by adults. Meanwhile, truly harmful and inappropriate content thrives untouched.<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve seen this pattern before: misinformation spreads easily, while legitimate voices in harm reduction are silenced or punished. The result? Confusion, fear, and millions of smokers who never hear that safer options even exist.<\/span><\/p>\n

Science Hasn\u2019t Changed \u2014 The Narrative Has<\/b><\/h5>\n

The science remains consistent. Leading experts like <\/span>Public Health England<\/b> and the <\/span>Royal College of Physicians<\/b> still affirm that vaping is <\/span>at least 95% less harmful<\/b> than smoking combustible cigarettes.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s time for tech companies to understand that <\/span>tobacco harm reduction isn\u2019t promotion \u2014 it\u2019s prevention<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Creators like Nick aren\u2019t selling products; they\u2019re saving lives by sharing the information public health agencies should be promoting themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

If YouTube truly wants to \u201cprotect youth,\u201d it should focus on age-gating and responsible access \u2014 not erasing content that helps adult smokers escape cigarettes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Until then, the harm-reduction community will keep finding ways to share the truth \u2014 even if the platforms keep trying to silence it.<\/span><\/p>\n
