In the third reading, the Legislative Yuan <a class=\"draft--a\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cna.com.tw\/news\/aipl\/202301125005.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">voted<\/a> in favour of the \u2018Tobacco Hazard Prevention Act\u2019 amendments to ban electronic cigarettes, regulate the use of heated tobacco products, and raise the smoking age from 18 to 20 years.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"draft-block draft--p left\">The new legislation does not mention vaping directly, instead introducing the term \u201ctobacco-like products,\u201d and the manufacture, sale, and supply of such products are strictly prohibited.
