El 10 de mayo, los socios de la WVA, la Asociaci\u00f3n Portuguesa de Vapeadores (APORVAP), hablaron en la Comisi\u00f3n de Presupuesto y Finanzas del Parlamento portugu\u00e9s, espec\u00edficamente sobre el Presupuesto Estatal para 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

APORVAP es una asociaci\u00f3n sin \u00e1nimo de lucro que defiende los intereses de los vapeadores. Sus actividades se centran en oponerse al impuesto al vapeo en Portugal, conocido por ser uno de los m\u00e1s altos de la UE, y en combatir la desinformaci\u00f3n sobre el vapeo, con el respaldo de evidencia cient\u00edfica sobre m\u00e9todos menos da\u00f1inos para el consumo de nicotina.<\/span><\/p>\n

En su discurso ante el Parlamento, APORVAP expres\u00f3 su apoyo a la correcta interpretaci\u00f3n del vapeo como herramienta de reducci\u00f3n de da\u00f1os para los fumadores actuales, abogando por un ajuste fiscal que refleje el grado de impacto de estos productos en la salud de sus usuarios. Se ha demostrado que Portugal es el Estado miembro con el impuesto m\u00e1s alto sobre los l\u00edquidos con nicotina (0,32 \u20ac\/ml, y el presupuesto estatal propone un aumento de 1% a 0,323 \u20ac\/ml a partir de ahora), notablemente 257% m\u00e1s que la media europea (0,09 \u20ac\/ml).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cUna vez m\u00e1s, intentamos concienciar a esta Comisi\u00f3n y a los diputados sobre la enorme evidencia cient\u00edfica que demuestra la eficacia de los cigarrillos electr\u00f3nicos para reducir el da\u00f1o general a la salud de los fumadores. Pa\u00edses pioneros en la investigaci\u00f3n, como Inglaterra o Francia, estiman una reducci\u00f3n del da\u00f1o de entre 95% y 99%, lo que, por supuesto, los llev\u00f3 a adaptar su legislaci\u00f3n y a recomendar los cigarrillos electr\u00f3nicos para dejar de fumar y proteger la salud de los fumadores actuales.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
