State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Benec R\u00e9tv\u00e1ri, reaffirms that Hungary will continue to treat vaping the same as smoking and won\u2019t overturn the vaping flavour ban.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-news-body-text field-type-text-long field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\">\n<p>Michael Landl, Director of the World Vapers\u2019 Alliance, said: \u201c<i>It is shocking that the Hungarian government still peddles worn-out and debunked myths about vaping. R\u00e9tv\u00e1ri systematically ignores scientific evidence proving the benefits of vaping, not to mention the first-hand experience of millions of vapers. Vaping is <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/e-cigarettes-around-95-less-harmful-than-tobacco-estimates-landmark-review\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>95% less harmful<\/i><\/a><i> than smoking and a <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qmul.ac.uk\/media\/news\/2019\/smd\/e-cigarettes-more-effective-than-nicotine-replacement-therapies-finds-major-uk-clinical-trial.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>more effective method to quit smoking<\/i><\/a><i> than traditional therapies such as gum and patches. The Hungarian approach to vaping will do nothing but cost lives.<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Michael Landl is from Austria and is based in Vienna. He says he is an experienced policy professional and a passionate vaper.
