{"id":3037,"date":"2022-08-16T03:33:01","date_gmt":"2022-08-16T07:33:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/?p=3037"},"modified":"2022-08-25T03:34:47","modified_gmt":"2022-08-25T07:34:47","slug":"new-campaign-by-thr-expert-exposes-australian-anti-vape-propoganda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/en_gb\/new-campaign-by-thr-expert-exposes-australian-anti-vape-propoganda\/","title":{"rendered":"New Campaign by THR Expert Exposes Australian Anti-Vape Propoganda"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5>Australian Public Health and Tobacco Treatment expert Dr. Colin Mendelsohn, has launched a campaign consisting of a series of eight short evidence-based videos on vaping, with the aim of combatting the current misinformation being spread across Australia.<\/h5>\n<p>Launched earlier this week, \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/www.colinmendelsohn.com.au\/dr-cols-vape-truths\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr Col\u2019s Vape Truths<\/a>\u2019, is an evidenced-based video campaign on nicotine vaping, designed to combat the ongoing rampant misinformation currently being spread by state health departments, particularly in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapetruths.initiatives.qld.gov.au\/dr-karls-vape-truths\">Queensland<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.health.nsw.gov.au\/vaping\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New South Wales <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthywa.wa.gov.au\/vaping\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Western Australia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Announcing the campaign on his <a href=\"https:\/\/colinmendelsohn.com.au\/campaign-blog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> Mendelsohn described the campaign as follows: \u201cDr Col\u2019s Vape Truths\u2019 campaign consists of eight short videos correcting common misconceptions about vaping and is based on eight misleading and alarmist videos by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapetruths.initiatives.qld.gov.au\/dr-karls-vape-truths\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Queensland Health<\/a>. The videos cover the following key evidence:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 Vapour is far less toxic than cigarette smoke.<\/li>\n<li>2 Vaping significantly reduces the risk of cancer relative to smoking.<\/li>\n<li>3 Vaping nicotine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2017\/09\/13\/correlation-between-e-cigs-and-respiratory-function-explained-by-experts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">does not<\/a> cause serious harm to the lungs.<\/li>\n<li>4 Vapes incorrectly labelled as nicotine-free are dodgy disposable products sold on the black market, not from reputable businesses.<\/li>\n<li>5 There has never been a single death caused by vaping nicotine.<\/li>\n<li>6 When smokers switch to vaping, their breathing improves substantially.<\/li>\n<li>7 Vaping is not completely risk-free but is substantially safer than deadly cigarettes.<\/li>\n<li>8 Most of the chemicals in vapour are present at very low doses and most cause little or no harm.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Executive Co-ordinator of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2021\/09\/15\/caphra-warns-asia-against-philanthropic-colonialism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CAPHRA<\/a> (Coalition of Asia Pacific Tobacco Harm Reduction Advocates) Nancy Loucas, highlighted how timely the campaign was. \u201cThankfully, the inconvenient truth about vaping has now landed on the laptops of Australians smashing all the alarmist anti-vaping propaganda health agencies and officials are peddling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Read the full text <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vapingpost.com\/2022\/08\/11\/new-campaign-by-thr-expert-exposes-australian-anti-vape-propoganda\/\">here<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Australian Public Health and Tobacco Treatment expert Dr. Colin Mendelsohn, has launched a campaign consisting of a series of eight short evidence-based videos on vaping, with the aim of combatting the current misinformation being spread across Australia.
