Februar 2026 \u2013 Der Europ\u00e4ische Wirtschafts- und Sozialausschuss (EWSA) <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eesc.europa.eu\/en\/our-work\/opinions-information-reports\/opinions\/revision-tobacco-taxation-directive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entwurf einer Stellungnahme<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> zur \u00dcberarbeitung der Tabaksteuerrichtlinie (TED) <\/span><b>fordert die EU auf, einen risikobasierten Besteuerungsansatz zu verfolgen<\/b> <b>und warnt davor, dass \u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfig hohe und schlecht konzipierte Steuern den Schwarzmarkt anheizen k\u00f6nnen.,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> die Ziele des \u00f6ffentlichen Gesundheitswesens untergraben und die legalen Steuereinnahmen verringern, anstatt das Rauchen einzud\u00e4mmen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Der EWSA unterst\u00fctzt zwar eine \u00dcberarbeitung der Richtlinie zur Aktualisierung des Steuerrahmens, argumentiert aber, dass die Besteuerung an den unterschiedlichen Sch\u00e4digungsrisiken der Produkte ausgerichtet sein sollte. Nach dieser Logik \u201cweniger Schaden, weniger Steuer\u201d sollten Tabakzigaretten am h\u00f6chsten besteuert werden, w\u00e4hrend risiko\u00e4rmere Alternativen nicht gleich hoch besteuert werden sollten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>\u201cDies ist ein klares Signal aus der EU, dass Steuern die Unterschiede im Schadenspotenzial widerspiegeln m\u00fcssen. Kommission und Rat sollten dies zur Kenntnis nehmen und umsteuern \u2013 aufh\u00f6ren, alle Nikotinprodukte gleich zu besteuern, und zu einem wirklich risikobasierten System \u00fcbergehen.\u201d<\/i><\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sagte Alberto G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez, Policy Manager bei der World Vapers Alliance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">W\u00e4hrend der EWSA f\u00fcr einen verh\u00e4ltnism\u00e4\u00dfigen, risikobasierten Ansatz pl\u00e4diert, dr\u00e4ngt der Rat derzeit auf eine deutliche Anhebung der Mindestverbrauchsteuers\u00e4tze f\u00fcr E-Liquids \u2013 eine Erh\u00f6hung um 501 \u00a3 gegen\u00fcber dem j\u00fcngsten Kompromissvorschlag, wie berichtet wird. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/clearingtheair.eu\/en\/post\/exclusive-eu-puts-huge-vape-tax-increase-back-on-the-table\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">F\u00fcr Klarheit sorgen<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
