Dublin, 23. Juni 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Im Anschluss an die gestrige Lichtshow setzt die World Vapers' Alliance ihre \u2019Ungeh\u00f6rte Stimmen \u2013 Verbraucher z\u00e4hlen!<\/a>\u201dKampagne mit einem stillen Protest bei Weltkonferenz zur Tabakkontrolle<\/a> (WCTC). Demonstranten mit zugeklebten M\u00fcndern stehen solidarisch vor dem Konferenzzentrum und symbolisieren den anhaltenden Ausschluss von Nikotinkonsumenten von wichtigen politischen Diskussionen.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend Delegierte und Experten im Inneren \u00fcber die Zukunft der Tabakkontrolle debattieren, bleiben die Konsumenten am Rande \u2013 ihre Erfahrungen und Stimmen werden ignoriert.<\/p>\n

Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers' Alliance, erkl\u00e4rt:<\/p>\n

\u201cEs ist ein Symbol daf\u00fcr, wie die Verbraucher in diesen Diskussionen zum Schweigen gebracht werden.\u201c. <\/em>Wir sind hier, unsere Geschichten z\u00e4hlen, und es ist an der Zeit, dass die politischen Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger anfangen zuzuh\u00f6ren.<\/em><\/strong> Statt Aromen und sicherere Alternativen zu verbieten, brauchen wir Ma\u00dfnahmen, die sowohl jugendliche als auch erwachsene Raucher sch\u00fctzen, die aufh\u00f6ren wollen. <\/em>Die Konsumenten zum Schweigen zu bringen ist nicht die L\u00f6sung.<\/em><\/strong>\u201d

Der Protest findet vor dem Hintergrund wachsender Besorgnis \u00fcber die aggressive Haltung der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) gegen\u00fcber der Schadensminderung statt, einschlie\u00dflich der j\u00fcngsten Forderungen nach Verbot von aromatisierten Tabak- und Nikotinprodukten<\/a>. Solche Ma\u00dfnahmen bergen die Gefahr, die Fortschritte von Millionen von Erwachsenen zu untergraben, die erfolgreich von herk\u00f6mmlichen Zigaretten auf sicherere Alternativen umgestiegen sind.<\/p>\n

Alberto G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez, Policy and Advocacy Manager der WVA, kommentiert:<\/p>\n

\u201cSicherere Nikotinalternativen retten Leben, aber nur mit vern\u00fcnftiger, evidenzbasierter Regulierung.
