Dublin, 23. Juni 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Als die Weltkonferenz zur Tabakkontrolle<\/a> Die WCTC \u00f6ffnete heute Abend in Dublin ihre Pforten. Eine Lichtshow erleuchtete das Konferenzzentrum und visualisierte die Stimmen von Millionen von Konsumenten, die in den globalen Debatten zur Tabakkontrolle weiterhin ungeh\u00f6rt und nicht vertreten sind. Die Kampagne \u201cStimmen, die nicht geh\u00f6rt werden \u2013 Konsumenten z\u00e4hlen!\u201d wurde von der World Vapers' Alliance ins Leben gerufen, um den anhaltenden Ausschluss der Konsumentenperspektive aus den Debatten zur Tabakkontrolle anzuprangern.<\/p>\n

\u201cW\u00e4hrend die politischen Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger hinter verschlossenen T\u00fcren debattieren, bleiben Millionen von Verbrauchern im Dunkeln. Unsere Stimmen z\u00e4hlen und d\u00fcrfen nicht ignoriert werden.\u201c. <\/em>Einflussreiche Interessengruppen, wie beispielsweise die von Michael Bloomberg, dr\u00e4ngen weiterhin auf Verbote, die sicherere Alternativen vom Markt verdr\u00e4ngen.<\/em><\/strong> Dieser Ansatz ignoriert wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse und die praktischen Erfahrungen von Millionen von Erwachsenen, die mithilfe von Produkten mit reduziertem Risiko erfolgreich mit dem Rauchen aufgeh\u00f6rt haben. <\/em>Die politischen Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger m\u00fcssen den Verbrauchern zuh\u00f6ren und ihre Entscheidungen auf Fakten st\u00fctzen, nicht auf Ideologie oder den Einfluss wohlhabender Spender.<\/em><\/strong>\u201d

Angesichts der bevorstehenden COP11 in Genf Ende des Jahres ist es wichtiger denn je, dass die Stimmen derjenigen, die am st\u00e4rksten von der Tabak- und Nikotinpolitik betroffen sind, in den Entscheidungsprozess einbezogen werden. W\u00e4hrend Hunderte von Entscheidungstr\u00e4gern zusammenkommen, um \u00fcber Tabakkontrolle zu diskutieren, werden die Konsumenten \u2013 die am st\u00e4rksten von den Ma\u00dfnahmen betroffen sind \u2013 an den Rand gedr\u00e4ngt. Die Lichtshow symbolisiert ihr Schweigen und sendet eine eindringliche Botschaft: \u201cWir sind hier, aber ihr h\u00f6rt uns nicht zu.\u201d Die Kampagne fordert echte Teilhabe und einen Platz am Verhandlungstisch f\u00fcr diejenigen, die t\u00e4glich mit den Folgen politischer Entscheidungen leben.<\/p>\n

Der Kampagnenstart erfolgt inmitten erneuter Angriffe der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) auf die Schadensminimierung, mit einem k\u00fcrzlich erfolgten Forderung nach einem Verbot aller aromatisierten Nikotinprodukte<\/a>, einschlie\u00dflich E-Zigaretten und Nikotinbeutel.<\/p>\n

Alberto G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez, Policy and Advocacy Manager der WVA, kommentiert:<\/p>\n

\u201cEin Verbot von Aromen hat nichts mit Schutz zu tun, sondern damit, Erwachsenen die Mittel zu verweigern, die sie ben\u00f6tigen, um mit dem Rauchen aufzuh\u00f6ren.\u201c. <\/em>Die Vorgehensweise der WHO ist realit\u00e4tsfern und gef\u00e4hrdet Menschenleben. Die Kampagne wird das ganze Jahr \u00fcber fortgesetzt und setzt sich f\u00fcr evidenzbasierte Strategien zur Schadensminderung ein.
