Sofia, 25. Februar 2025 \u2013 Die Weltallianz der Dampfer (WVA) verurteilt die leichtsinnige Entscheidung des bulgarischen Parlaments aufs Sch\u00e4rfste. Verbot<\/a> Alle E-Zigarettenprodukte. Diese verfehlte Politik, ausgel\u00f6st durch einen tragischen Vorfall mit einer THC-E-Zigarette vom Schwarzmarkt, wird das eigentliche Problem nur versch\u00e4rfen: den unregulierten Schwarzmarkt f\u00fcr gef\u00e4hrliche Produkte.<\/p>\n

Bulgarien weist mit 371 Rauchern pro 400.000 Einwohnern bereits die h\u00f6chste Raucherquote in der EU auf \u2013 501 Raucher pro 400.000 Einwohner \u00fcber dem EU-Durchschnitt. Trotz dieser alarmierenden Statistik haben die Gesetzgeber beschlossen, ein bew\u00e4hrtes Instrument zur Schadensminderung abzuschaffen, das Rauchern beim Aufh\u00f6ren hilft. Anstatt die Ursache \u2013 illegale und unregulierte Produkte \u2013 anzugehen, verfolgt die Regierung eine Politik, die erwachsene Dampfer entweder wieder zum Rauchen treibt oder sie in die H\u00e4nde von Schwarzmarkth\u00e4ndlern fliehen l\u00e4sst.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/em>Dieses Verbot ist nicht nur irrational, sondern auch gef\u00e4hrlich. Ein Verbot regulierter E-Zigaretten wird das Problem illegaler E-Zigaretten nicht l\u00f6sen \u2013 es wird es versch\u00e4rfen. <\/em><\/strong>Der tragische Tod eines Teenagers in Pleven wurde durch eine auf dem Schwarzmarkt erworbene THC-E-Zigarette verursacht, nicht durch legale Nikotinprodukte. <\/em>Mit dem Verbot legaler Alternativen \u00f6ffnet Bulgarien T\u00fcr und Tor f\u00fcr eine Flut unsicherer Produkte auf dem Markt.<\/em><\/strong>\u201d
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

E-Zigaretten sind nicht der Feind \u2013 sie sind f\u00fcr viele von uns das effektivste Mittel, um mit dem Rauchen aufzuh\u00f6ren. Nur 31 % der Bulgaren nutzen derzeit E-Zigaretten, dennoch sind sie bereits die beliebteste Methode zur Raucherentw\u00f6hnung in unserem Land. L\u00e4nder wie Schweden, Neuseeland und Gro\u00dfbritannien, die auf Schadensminimierung setzen, sind auf dem besten Weg, das Ziel der Rauchfreiheit zu erreichen (Raucherquote unter 51 %). Bulgarien wird dieses Ziel auf dem aktuellen Kurs niemals erreichen.<\/p>\n

In einem offener Brief,<\/strong><\/a> Die WVA fordert die bulgarischen Abgeordneten auf, diese verh\u00e4ngnisvolle Politik zu \u00fcberdenken. Evidenzbasierte Regelungen, die sicherere Alternativen anstelle von pauschalen Verboten f\u00f6rdern, sind unerl\u00e4sslich, um die Raucherquote zu senken und die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit zu sch\u00fctzen. Die endg\u00fcltige Abstimmung wird Anfang M\u00e4rz erwartet.<\/p>\n
