Sofia, 18.02.2025<\/strong> Die World Vapers' Alliance (WVA) kritisiert scharf die j\u00fcngste einstimmige Abstimmung des bulgarischen Parlaments zur Einf\u00fchrung eines pauschale Verbot von E-Zigarettenprodukten<\/a>. Diese schlecht durchdachte Entscheidung gef\u00e4hrdet die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit und ignoriert wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse, die das Dampfen als weniger sch\u00e4dliche Alternative zum Rauchen belegen.<\/p>\n

Bulgarien hat eine der h\u00f6chsten Raucherquoten weltweit, die seit der ersten Eurobarometer-Umfrage im Jahr 2007 nicht gesunken ist. Trotz dieser alarmierenden Statistik hat die Regierung beschlossen, alle E-Zigarettenprodukte, einschlie\u00dflich nikotinfreier Varianten, sowohl im Einzelhandel als auch online zu verbieten. Diese Entscheidung wurde ohne angemessene Konsultation getroffen und d\u00fcrfte den Schwarzmarkt f\u00fcr unsichere Produkte weiter ankurbeln.<\/p>\n

Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers' Alliance, erkl\u00e4rt: \u201cDie Entscheidung der bulgarischen Regierung, das Dampfen zu verbieten, ist ein massiver R\u00fcckschritt im Kampf gegen die Todesf\u00e4lle durch Rauchen. Angesichts einer der h\u00f6chsten Raucherquoten in der EU sollte Bulgarien Ma\u00dfnahmen zur Schadensminderung f\u00f6rdern, anstatt sie zu verbieten.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Die WVA betont, dass E-Zigaretten nachweislich ein wirksames Mittel zur Raucherentw\u00f6hnung sind. Dieses Verbot wird erwachsene Dampfer zur\u00fcck zum Rauchen oder auf den Schwarzmarkt treiben und ignoriert das Potenzial der E-Zigarette, die alarmierend hohen Raucherquoten in Bulgarien deutlich zu senken.<\/p>\n

\u201cDieses Verbot wird verheerende Folgen f\u00fcr die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit in Bulgarien haben. Es ist schlichtweg verr\u00fcckt, dass die Regierung in einem Land, in dem Rauchen j\u00e4hrlich Tausende von Menschenleben fordert, ein bew\u00e4hrtes Instrument zur Schadensminderung abschafft.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Landl f\u00fcgt hinzu.<\/p>\n

Die WVA fordert die bulgarische Regierung auf, in den weiteren Phasen des parlamentarischen Verfahrens gegen diesen Gesetzentwurf zu stimmen und stattdessen evidenzbasierte Ma\u00dfnahmen umzusetzen, die Raucher beim Aufh\u00f6ren unterst\u00fctzen, anstatt ihnen den Zugang zu weniger sch\u00e4dlichen Alternativen zu verwehren.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
