Rauchern wird der Zugang zu diesen weniger sch\u00e4dlichen Produkten verwehrt und sie werden dazu verdammt sein, weiterhin Zigaretten zu rauchen, die jedes Jahr 9.000 unserer B\u00fcrger t\u00f6ten.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tats\u00e4chlich ist es sehr schwer, mit dem Rauchen aufzuh\u00f6ren. Obwohl fast zwei Drittel der 2,7 Millionen Raucher des Landes sagen, sie wollten aufh\u00f6ren, gelingt es nur einem winzigen Teil \u2013 sch\u00e4tzungsweise 21 Prozent \u2013, das Rauchen aufzugeben. Beides w\u00fcrde die gesundheitspolitischen Ziele des Gesetzes untergraben.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ein weiterer Grund zur Sorge ist das vorgeschlagene Verbot von Aromen in Nikotinbeuteln und Zigaretten. Aromen spielen eine entscheidende Rolle dabei, Rauchern den \u00dcbergang von traditionellen brennbaren Tabakprodukten zu erleichtern. Untersuchungen zeigen, dass aromatisierte Nikotinprodukte f\u00fcr Raucher, die mit dem Rauchen aufh\u00f6ren m\u00f6chten, attraktiver sind, da sie die sensorische Assoziation mit herk\u00f6mmlichem Rauchen verringern. Ein Verbot von Aromen k\u00f6nnte Raucher davon abhalten, auf diese weniger sch\u00e4dlichen Alternativen umzusteigen, was dazu f\u00fchren k\u00f6nnte, dass sie weiterhin gef\u00e4hrlichere Tabakprodukte konsumieren.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dar\u00fcber hinaus k\u00f6nnte das Verbot von Aromen das Wachstum eines illegalen Marktes f\u00f6rdern. Durch die F\u00f6rderung weniger sch\u00e4dlicher Alternativen wie Nikotinbeutel, E-Zigaretten und anderer nicht brennbarer Produkte kann der Senat dazu beitragen, die Gesamtbelastung durch tabakbedingte Krankheiten in Kenia zu verringern.
