Als Weltnichtrauchertag<\/a> Angesichts des bevorstehenden 31. Mai schl\u00e4gt die World Vapers' Alliance (WVA) Alarm wegen der grassierenden \u2019Fehlwahrnehmungsepidemie\u2018 rund um die Schadensminderung beim Tabakkonsum. Forschung<\/a> Eine Studie von Ipsos im Auftrag des Thinktanks \u2018We Are Innovation\u2019 zeigt, dass weltweit 741.040 Raucher f\u00e4lschlicherweise glauben, Dampfen sei genauso sch\u00e4dlich oder sogar sch\u00e4dlicher als Rauchen. Dieser gef\u00e4hrliche Irrglaube, der durch Fehlinformationen gen\u00e4hrt wird, h\u00e4lt Millionen von Rauchern davon ab, auf eine wissenschaftlich erprobte, weniger sch\u00e4dliche Alternative umzusteigen.<\/p>\n

\u201cDie WHO hat den Weltnichtrauchertag zu einem Propagandatag gemacht. Schweden steht dank alternativer Nikotinprodukte kurz vor dem Rauchverbot. Die WHO muss aufh\u00f6ren, alternative Nikotinprodukte zu bek\u00e4mpfen und sie stattdessen als Schl\u00fcssel zu einer rauchfreien Zukunft unterst\u00fctzen. Ihre falschen Behauptungen befeuern eine t\u00f6dliche Epidemie von Fehlinformationen. Raucher haben ein Recht auf die Wahrheit: Dampfen ist deutlich weniger sch\u00e4dlich als Rauchen. Korrektes Wissen k\u00f6nnte Millionen von Leben retten.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Diese Haltung wird durch j\u00fcngste Entwicklungen gest\u00fctzt. Forschung<\/a> und Stellungnahmen von Gesundheitsbeh\u00f6rden wie dem britischen National Health Service, der einen Leitfaden zu \u201cMythen und Fakten zum Thema Dampfen<\/a>,\u201ddurch die Aufkl\u00e4rung weit verbreiteter Missverst\u00e4ndnisse \u00fcber das Dampfen, um Rauchern Zugang zu qualitativ hochwertigen Informationen zu erm\u00f6glichen.\u201c, Fehlinformationen<\/a> von einflussreichen Organisationen wie der WHO verbreitete falsche \u00dcberzeugungen und behinderte den Zugang von Rauchern zu lebensrettenden Alternativen.<\/p>\n
