Die Daily Mail berichtet, dass Schottland ernsthaft \u00fcber ein schrittweises Verbot von E-Zigaretten und Tabak f\u00fcr Kinder und Jugendliche unter 14 Jahren nachdenkt \u2013 ein Vorhaben, das die Verbraucherorganisation World Vapers' Alliance als besorgniserregend bezeichnet. Der Schritt \u00e4hnelt den Vorschl\u00e4gen der britischen Regierung, schlie\u00dft aber auch E-Zigaretten mit ein.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers' Alliance, \u00e4u\u00dferte erhebliche Bedenken gegen diesen Schritt: \u201cDie Absicht, das Rauchen einzud\u00e4mmen, ist zwar lobenswert, doch es ist besorgniserregend, dass die schottische Regierung erw\u00e4gt, dieses Verbot auf E-Zigaretten auszuweiten. Man darf nicht vergessen, dass der Kauf von E-Zigaretten f\u00fcr Jugendliche bereits illegal ist. Ein weiteres Verbot l\u00f6st die zugrundeliegenden Probleme nicht. Stattdessen m\u00fcssen wir uns darauf konzentrieren, die bestehenden Gesetze effektiver durchzusetzen und die Gr\u00fcnde anzugehen, warum Jugendliche \u00fcberhaupt mit dem Rauchen oder Dampfen anfangen.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

Laut einem Bericht der Daily Mail wird es allen, die 2009 oder sp\u00e4ter geboren wurden \u2013 also derzeit 14 Jahre oder j\u00fcnger sind \u2013, in Schottland niemals legal Tabak- oder E-Zigarettenprodukte kaufen k\u00f6nnen. Dieser Ansatz k\u00f6nnte laut Landl unbeabsichtigte Folgen haben.<\/p>\n

Landl sagte: \u201cWird es Schmuggelbanden geben, die E-Zigaretten von England nach Schottland bringen? So absurd das auch klingen mag, wir haben in der Vergangenheit gesehen, wohin Verbote f\u00fchren. Verbote haben sich in der Vergangenheit als gescheitert erwiesen, und auch diesmal ist es nicht anders.
