Die lettische Regierung will die Besteuerung von E-Liquids erh\u00f6hen und damit die Schadensminderung durch Tabak f\u00fcr aktuelle Raucher weniger attraktiv machen. Die World Vapers' Alliance hat diesen Schritt verurteilt, den Ansatz als wissenschaftsfeindlich bezeichnet und von den lettischen Beh\u00f6rden verlangt, bei der Besteuerung alternativer Nikotinprodukte einen evidenzbasierten Ansatz zu verfolgen.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Die lettische Regierung hat eine Reihe von \u00c4nderungen am Verbrauchsteuergesetz verabschiedet, die eine schrittweise Erh\u00f6hung der Verbrauchsteuer auf E-Liquids und andere Tabakersatzprodukte beinhalten.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr E-Liquids und deren Bestandteile wird in den Jahren 2024, 2025 und 2026 eine durchschnittliche Erh\u00f6hung der Verbrauchsteuers\u00e4tze um 211 TP3Billionen pro Jahr erwartet, w\u00e4hrend f\u00fcr Tabakersatzprodukte, zu denen auch Nikotinbeutel z\u00e4hlen, eine Erh\u00f6hung um 101 TP3Billionen zu verzeichnen ist.<\/p>\n

Die World Vapers\u2018 Alliance ist der Ansicht, dass sich die \u00c4nderungen negativ auf Lettlands Bem\u00fchungen zur Eind\u00e4mmung des Rauchens auswirken werden, da sie die Umstellungsm\u00f6glichkeiten weniger attraktiv machen.<\/p>\n

Alberto G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez, Community Manager der World Vapers' Alliance, kommentierte: \u201eEine h\u00f6here Besteuerung sichererer Nikotinprodukte wird Raucher davon abhalten, umzusteigen, und sie dazu bringen, wieder mit dem Rauchen anzufangen.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201eInternationale Belege haben gezeigt, dass eine steigende Besteuerung von E-Zigaretten und E-Liquids schon immer zu einem Anstieg des Rauchens gef\u00fchrt hat, insbesondere unter jungen Erwachsenen und Gruppen mit niedrigem Einkommen.<\/i><\/p>\n
