Neunzehn internationale Verbraucherorganisationen, die sich f\u00fcr die Schadensminimierung beim Tabakkonsum einsetzen, haben die s\u00fcdafrikanische Regierung aufgefordert, die Schadensminimierung in ihrem neuen Tabakkontrollgesetz nicht l\u00e4nger zu behindern. Der Gesetzesentwurf zur Kontrolle von Tabakprodukten und elektronischen Verdampfungssystemen sieht vor, alternative Nikotinprodukte und Tabakerhitzer gleicherma\u00dfen zu regulieren und zus\u00e4tzliche Beschr\u00e4nkungen f\u00fcr den Verkauf und die Herstellung von Tabak- und Nikotinprodukten vorzusehen. Er beinhaltet au\u00dferdem ein Werbeverbot f\u00fcr Tabakerhitzer und Verdampfer, ein Verbot der \u00f6ffentlichen Nutzung dieser Produkte sowie die Befugnis des Ministers, Aromaverbote f\u00fcr Tabakerhitzer und Verdampfer zu erlassen.<\/p>\n

\u201eRauchen ist ein globales Problem, das dringend und angemessen angegangen werden muss. Allein in S\u00fcdafrika sterben j\u00e4hrlich 42.181 Menschen an den Folgen des Tabakkonsums. Die von der s\u00fcdafrikanischen Regierung vorgeschlagenen Ma\u00dfnahmen beinhalten jedoch einige Bestimmungen, die die bisherigen Fortschritte im Kampf gegen die Rauchepidemie zunichtemachen und somit das Leben all jener gef\u00e4hrden, die dank der breiten Verf\u00fcgbarkeit alternativer Nikotinprodukte erfolgreich mit dem Rauchen aufgeh\u00f6rt haben.<\/i>,\u201d, erkl\u00e4rten die Organisationen in ihrer Eingabe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
