Leider vers\u00e4umt es die Strategie, eine der Hauptursachen von Krankheiten anzugehen \u2013 das Rauchen. Die Reduzierung der Tabaksch\u00e4den muss in eine solche Strategie zur Bek\u00e4mpfung von durch Rauchen verursachten Krankheiten einbezogen werden, sagt die Kampagnengruppe World Vapers\u2018 Alliance.<\/h4>\n<p>Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers&#039; Alliance, kommentierte: <i>\u201eDie EU-Kommission ignoriert erneut die Stimmen der Wissenschaft und der Verbraucher. Die Schadensminderung beim Tabakkonsum muss ein zentrales Element aller Gesundheitspolitiken der EU werden. Jedes Jahr sterben 700.000 Menschen an den Folgen des Rauchens und gleichzeitig k\u00e4mpft die Kommission gegen weniger sch\u00e4dliche Alternativen. Die Wissenschaft ist eindeutig: Dampfen ist weit weniger sch\u00e4dlich als Rauchen und ist eine der wirksamsten Hilfsmittel zur Raucherentw\u00f6hnung.
