Da der Konsum von E-Zigaretten unter Jugendlichen weiter zur\u00fcckgeht, wann wird die FDA endlich zugeben, dass die sogenannte \u201cEpidemie\u201d vorbei ist?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fragt man erwachsene Dampfer, werden sie einem ohne Zweifel best\u00e4tigen, dass Aromen entscheidend sind, um mit dem Rauchen aufzuh\u00f6ren und von herk\u00f6mmlichen Zigaretten fernzubleiben.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ich erinnere mich noch gut an 2013, als ich mir eine E-Zigarette zulegte. Ungef\u00e4hr zwei Wochen lang dampfte ich ein E-Liquid mit Tabakgeschmack. Dann ver\u00e4nderte sich pl\u00f6tzlich mein Geschmacks- und Geruchssinn. Ich wollte nichts mehr, was mich ans Rauchen erinnerte. Ehrlich gesagt, konnte ich den Geschmack gar nicht mehr ertragen. Alles, was mich ans Rauchen erinnerte, reizte mich \u00fcberhaupt nicht mehr. Schnell wechselte ich zu einem E-Liquid mit Pina-Colada-Geschmack. Danach probierte ich weitere Geschmacksrichtungen wie Erdbeer-Pfirsich, Kaffee, Blaubeer-Donut und viele mehr. Diese Erfahrung machte mir viel Spa\u00df, denn so blieb das Dampfen interessant und die M\u00f6glichkeiten waren schier unendlich. Dadurch wurde das Dampfen nicht nur zu einem endg\u00fcltigen Ausweg aus dem Rauchen, sondern verhinderte auch, dass ich jemals wieder ans Rauchen dachte.<\/span><\/p>\n

Warum will die FDA angesichts dessen, dass die Zahlen bei Jugendlichen weiter sinken und die These, dass \u201cAromen Kinder anziehen\u201d, widerlegt ist, nicht eingestehen, dass diese \u201cKrise\u201d vorbei ist?<\/span><\/p>\n

Jugendliche experimentieren nun mal; das war schon immer so. Sonst h\u00e4tte ich mit 15 nie eine Zigarette anger\u00fchrt oder den Wein meiner Mutter probiert. Warum sollte man Erwachsene bestrafen, die auf solche Produkte angewiesen sind, um von Tabakprodukten Abstand zu nehmen, nur um \u201cdie Jugend zu retten\u201d, wenn der Fokus doch eigentlich nicht auf den Zahlen der dampfenden Jugendlichen liegen sollte, sondern auf dem R\u00fcckgang des Rauchens unter ihnen?.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Zahlen des \u00f6ffentlichen Gesundheitswesens basieren darauf, dass Jugendliche das Dampfen einmal innerhalb von 30 Tagen ausprobieren. Schon ein einziger Versuch gen\u00fcgt, um als Dampfer zu gelten. Offensichtlich wird so gefragt, dass das \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheitswesen die Zahlen so manipulieren kann, dass sie zu seiner gew\u00fcnschten Darstellung passen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Da die Zahlen weiter sinken, stellt sich die eigentliche Frage: Wie kann der \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheitsdienst diese Argumentation jemals aufrechterhalten, um Aromen oder das Dampfen im Allgemeinen zu verbieten? Wie k\u00f6nnen sie diese Daten weiterhin verwenden, wenn die Daten nicht mehr zu ihrer Argumentation passen?<\/span><\/p>\n

Wird es uns jemals gelingen, diese Kluft zwischen erwachsenen Nutzern im realen Leben und dem \u00f6ffentlichen Gesundheitswesen in den USA zu \u00fcberbr\u00fccken und einen Kompromiss zu erzielen, der allen zugutekommt?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ich hoffe, dass wir das eines Tages schaffen werden. Im Interesse der \u00f6ffentlichen Gesundheit m\u00fcssen wir es tun.<\/span><\/p>\n
