Als das Consumer Choice Center an mich herantrat und fragte, ob ich Interesse h\u00e4tte, eine Allianz von Dampfern zu leiten, war meine erste Reaktion: Das ist eine sehr pers\u00f6nliche Angelegenheit.<\/p>\n

Warum sollte ich \u00f6ffentlich verk\u00fcnden, dass ich mich gerade von einer Angewohnheit befreit habe, die mich langsam umgebracht hat? Aber als ich etwas \u00fcber die politische Debatte rund um das Dampfen erfuhr, wurde mir schnell klar, dass ich mich einbringen muss.<\/p>\n

Die Debatte um das Dampfen involviert mehrere Akteure, von denen einige ein gravierendes Missverst\u00e4ndnis sowohl hinsichtlich der Wissenschaft als auch dessen, was es bedeutet, ein Dampfer zu sein, haben.<\/p>\n

In den kommenden Jahren werden wichtige Entscheidungen \u00fcber die Zukunft des Dampfens getroffen, sowohl auf globaler Ebene, wo die WHO eine Regulierung von E-Zigaretten wie Tabak erw\u00e4gt, als auch im Zuge der \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung der EU-Tabakproduktrichtlinie.<\/p>\n

Die WVA vertritt die Interessen von Dampfern \u2013 sowohl von heutigen als auch von zuk\u00fcnftigen \u2013 auf der ganzen Welt und wird f\u00fcr ihr Recht k\u00e4mpfen, das bisher bekannteste Mittel zur \u00dcberwindung der Tabakabh\u00e4ngigkeit zu w\u00e4hlen \u2013 das Dampfen \u2013 um ihnen dabei zu helfen, sich von der Tabakabh\u00e4ngigkeit zu befreien.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wenn die Stimmen der Dampfer in diesen Debatten nicht geh\u00f6rt werden, k\u00f6nnte das Dampfen in Vergessenheit geraten und damit auch diese enorme Chance f\u00fcr die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit. Wie Sie in meinem vorherigen Blog gelesen haben, hat das Dampfen mein Leben grundlegend ver\u00e4ndert. Und ich bin kein Einzelfall. Dampfen kann das Leben von Millionen Menschen zum Besseren ver\u00e4ndern, und wir verdienen mehr Unterst\u00fctzung von unseren Politikern und Gesundheitsbeh\u00f6rden.<\/p>\n

Angesichts der Covid-19-Pandemie kursieren in den sozialen Netzwerken noch mehr Fehlinformationen \u00fcber das Dampfen. F\u00e4lschlicherweise wird behauptet, Dampfen sei genauso gef\u00e4hrlich wie Rauchen (obwohl es nachweislich deutlich weniger sch\u00e4dlich ist) und k\u00f6nne das Coronavirus verbreiten (was ebenfalls widerlegt wurde).<\/p>\n

Pragmatiker wie ich argumentieren, dass es wichtiger denn je ist, einen Ausweg aus der Nikotinsucht zu bieten, und dass Menschen, die umgestiegen sind, nicht durch fehlenden Zugang zu E-Zigaretten wieder in Versuchung gef\u00fchrt werden d\u00fcrfen. Ebenso k\u00f6nnen Raucher die erh\u00f6hte Gesundheitsgefahr durch COVID-19 nicht einfach ignorieren. Sie brauchen die Alternative E-Zigarette dringender denn je.<\/p>\n

Hier kommt die WVA ins Spiel. Sie vertritt die Interessen von Dampfern \u2013 sowohl von heutigen als auch von zuk\u00fcnftigen \u2013 weltweit und setzt sich f\u00fcr deren Recht ein, das bisher bekannteste Mittel zur \u00dcberwindung der Tabakabh\u00e4ngigkeit zu w\u00e4hlen \u2013 das Dampfen \u2013, um ihnen dabei zu helfen, sich von der Tabakabh\u00e4ngigkeit zu befreien.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
