26.08.2026 \u2013 Eine aktualisierte Version Cochrane-\u00dcberpr\u00fcfung<\/a> Eine Analyse von 80 randomisierten Studien mit fast 30.000 Rauchern ergab, dass Nikotin-Vaping mehr Rauchern beim Aufh\u00f6ren hilft als Nikotinersatztherapien (NRT) wie Kaugummis oder Pflaster. Cochrane bewertet diese Erkenntnis mit \u201choher Sicherheit\u201d (der h\u00f6chsten, selten vergebenen Bewertung).<\/p>\n

Die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung erfolgte zwei Wochen nach Abschluss der \u00f6ffentlichen Konsultation der Europ\u00e4ischen Kommission zur \u00dcberarbeitung der Tabakproduktrichtlinie (TPD). Der Kommissionsvorschlag wird voraussichtlich im Laufe dieses Jahres ver\u00f6ffentlicht und zielt auf ein Verbot von Aromen sowie eine strengere Regulierung weniger sch\u00e4dlicher Nikotinprodukte ab.<\/p>\n

Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers' Alliance, sagte:<\/p>\n

\u201cInzwischen sollte klar sein, dass E-Zigaretten als Hilfsmittel zur Raucherentw\u00f6hnung funktionieren. Dennoch leugnet die EU-Kommission dies weiterhin und weigert sich, die wissenschaftliche Realit\u00e4t anzuerkennen.\u201c. <\/em>Es ist an der Zeit, das Dampfen als Hilfsmittel zur Raucherentw\u00f6hnung uneingeschr\u00e4nkt zu bef\u00fcrworten und die \u00dcberregulierung und Verbote zu beenden. Dampfen wirkt, und Raucher brauchen Zugang zu rauchfreien Alternativen.<\/em><\/strong>\u201d

Was die \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung ergab:<\/p>\n

Etwa vier von hundert Personen mehr h\u00f6rten mit Nikotin-E-Zigaretten mit dem Rauchen auf als mit Nikotinpflastern oder -kaugummis. Es wurden keine Hinweise auf ein erh\u00f6htes Risiko schwerwiegender Sch\u00e4den gefunden, und es zeigte sich, dass Nikotin-E-Zigaretten besser wirken als nikotinfreie.<\/p>\n

Die Weltallianz der Dampfer fordert die EU-Kommission auf, diese Erkenntnisse anzuerkennen und k\u00fcnftige Regulierungen darauf zu st\u00fctzen. Dampfen geh\u00f6rt in jede Strategie zur Rauchebek\u00e4mpfung und muss risikogerecht reguliert werden. \u201cVerbote und \u00dcberregulierung funktionieren nicht. Ohne E-Zigaretten wird Europa sein Ziel einer rauchfreien Welt nicht erreichen.
