Mai 2026 \u2013 Die World Vapers&#039; Alliance begr\u00fc\u00dft die <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/news-events\/press-announcements\/fda-expands-market-access-authorizes-new-ends-products\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entscheidung der FDA<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Die Beh\u00f6rde hat die Zulassung bestimmter E-Zigaretten mit Fruchtgeschmack f\u00fcr erwachsene Raucher in den Vereinigten Staaten erlassen. Erstmals hat sie damit tabak- und mentholfreie Verdampfungsprodukte genehmigt, doch das reicht nicht aus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisse zu Aromen sind seit Jahren eindeutig. Erwachsene, die aromatisierte E-Zigaretten konsumieren, haben <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/32501490\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">230% h\u00f6here Wahrscheinlichkeit, mit dem Rauchen aufzuh\u00f6ren<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> als diejenigen, die Tabak oder aromatisierte Produkte konsumieren. Aromen sind keine Randerscheinung. Sie sind zentral daf\u00fcr, warum Dampfen als Hilfsmittel f\u00fcr Raucher funktioniert, die umsteigen m\u00f6chten. In den USA nur <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC10576309\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.1% von Dampfern<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Die einen geben Tabak als ihre einzige Geschmacksrichtung an, w\u00e4hrend die \u00fcbrigen verschiedene Geschmacksrichtungen konsumieren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers&#039; Alliance, kommentierte:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDie Wissenschaftler der FDA wussten selbst, dass diese Produkte die Standards erf\u00fcllten. Ihre Blockierung diente keinem Zweck der \u00f6ffentlichen Gesundheit.\u201c. <\/span><\/i><b><i>Raucherinnen und Raucher haben ein Recht auf weniger sch\u00e4dliche Alternativen, die ihnen tats\u00e4chlich helfen, und Aromen spielen dabei eine wichtige Rolle. Viele weitere Produkte m\u00fcssen umgehend zugelassen werden.<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laut einem <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/policy\/trump-pressures-fda-commissioner-to-approve-flavored-vapes-9dad81ee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wall Street Journal<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Laut einem Bericht hatten die wissenschaftlichen Gutachter der FDA die aromatisierten Produkte bereits freigegeben. Das B\u00fcro von Kommissar Makary stoppte diese Zulassungen daraufhin ohne klare Begr\u00fcndung aus Gr\u00fcnden des \u00f6ffentlichen Gesundheitswesens und verz\u00f6gerte damit einen Prozess, den die Experten der Beh\u00f6rde bereits abgeschlossen hatten. Die Genehmigung erfolgte schlie\u00dflich Stunden, nachdem Pr\u00e4sident Trump Makary Berichten zufolge in einem Treffen direkt unter Druck gesetzt hatte.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die Daten belegen dies. Der Konsum von E-Zigaretten unter Jugendlichen in den USA ist so niedrig wie seit zehn Jahren nicht mehr. Auch der Tabakkonsum unter Jugendlichen befindet sich auf einem Rekordtief. Das Argument, Aromen w\u00fcrden den Konsum unter jungen Menschen zwangsl\u00e4ufig f\u00f6rdern, hat sich als falsch erwiesen. Die Einschr\u00e4nkung von Aromen hat erwachsene Konsumenten lediglich dazu getrieben, wieder zu Zigaretten zu greifen oder sich unregulierten Produkten vom Schwarzmarkt zuzuwenden.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die Frage ist nun, ob diese Entscheidung einen echten Kurswechsel der FDA im Bereich der Schadensminimierung markiert oder eine Ausnahme bleibt. Millionen von Rauchern ben\u00f6tigen Zugang zu weniger sch\u00e4dlichen und wirksamen Alternativen. Die Zulassung einiger aromatisierter Produkte ist ein Anfang.
