Br\u00fcssel, 13. April 2026 \u2013 Sieben Verbraucherorganisationen aus ganz Europa haben eine Erkl\u00e4rung unterzeichnet offener Brief<\/a> an die Pr\u00e4sidentin der Europ\u00e4ischen Kommission, Ursula von der Leyen, und den Gesundheitskommissar Oliv\u00e9r V\u00e1rhelyi, mit der dringenden Aufforderung, die Richtung der bevorstehenden \u00dcberarbeitung der Tabakproduktrichtlinie zu \u00fcberdenken.<\/p>\n

Der Brief stellt den Anfang des Monats ver\u00f6ffentlichten Evaluierungsbericht der Kommission zur Tabakproduktrichtlinie (TPD) direkt in Frage. Er fordert die Kommission auf, einen risikogerechten Rahmen anzuwenden, den Zugang von Erwachsenen zu weniger sch\u00e4dlichen Alternativen zu sch\u00fctzen und von L\u00e4ndern wie \u2026 zu lernen. Schweden, die Tschechische Republik und Griechenland<\/a>, was zu einem der schnellsten R\u00fcckg\u00e4nge der Raucherquote in Europa f\u00fchrte, indem man auf Schadensminimierung statt auf Einschr\u00e4nkungen setzte.<\/p>\n

Die Unterzeichner repr\u00e4sentieren Dampfer, Nutzer von Nikotinbeuteln und Bef\u00fcrworter von Schadensminimierung aus Kroatien, Slowenien, der Tschechischen Republik, Griechenland und dar\u00fcber hinaus.<\/p>\n

Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers' Alliance, sagte: \u2019Die Bewertung der Kommission wies in die v\u00f6llig falsche Richtung.
