13.03.2025, Den Haag \u2013 Die World Vapers' Alliance (WVA) verurteilt die j\u00fcngste \u00c4u\u00dferung von Au\u00dfenminister Vincent Karremans aufs Sch\u00e4rfste. Aussagen<\/a> Die Aussagen zum Thema E-Zigaretten sind nicht nur ungenau, sondern auch sch\u00e4dlich f\u00fcr die Bem\u00fchungen um die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit. Karremans' Behauptung, Nikotin sei nach Heroin und Crack die am st\u00e4rksten s\u00fcchtig machende Droge \u00fcberhaupt, ist eine eklatante Verf\u00e4lschung wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse und tr\u00e4gt zur wachsenden Verbreitung von Fehlinformationen \u00fcber E-Zigaretten in den Niederlanden bei.<\/p>\n

Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers' Alliance, erkl\u00e4rte:<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/em>Die Panikmache der niederl\u00e4ndischen Regierung ist nicht nur falsch, sondern auch gef\u00e4hrlich.<\/em><\/strong> Durch die Verbreitung solcher Fehlinformationen untergraben sie aktiv die Bem\u00fchungen zur Bek\u00e4mpfung des Rauchens in den Niederlanden. <\/em>Die wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisse sind eindeutig: Dampfen ist deutlich weniger sch\u00e4dlich als Rauchen und hat Millionen von Menschen geholfen, mit dem Rauchen aufzuh\u00f6ren.<\/em><\/strong>\u201d

Karremans behauptete weiterhin, dass \u201cNikotin das sich entwickelnde Gehirn sch\u00e4digt\u201d und \u201cdie Anf\u00e4lligkeit f\u00fcr andere S\u00fcchte erh\u00f6ht\u201d. Solche Aussagen widersprechen den Erkenntnissen anerkannter Organisationen wie Action on Smoking and Health (ASH). Berichte<\/a> Junge Menschen, die E-Zigaretten konsumieren, sind deutlich seltener nikotinabh\u00e4ngig als Raucher. Zudem wird angemerkt, dass bev\u00f6lkerungsbezogene Daten die Einstiegshypothese nicht st\u00fctzen. Weiterhin stellt die ASH fest, dass keine Daten zu den direkten Auswirkungen von Nikotin auf Jugendliche vorliegen, was definitive Aussagen \u00fcber dessen Einfluss auf das sich entwickelnde Gehirn erschwert.<\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend Schweden und Neuseeland dank ihrer fortschrittlichen Ans\u00e4tze beim Dampfen und bei Nikotinbeuteln kurz davor stehen, rauchfrei zu werden, hinken die Niederlande weiterhin hinterher. Raucherquote<\/a> von fast 20%.<\/p>\n
