{"id":607,"date":"2021-11-18T18:09:34","date_gmt":"2021-11-18T23:09:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cccwva.wpengine.com\/?p=607"},"modified":"2022-02-05T16:53:58","modified_gmt":"2022-02-05T21:53:58","slug":"time-for-europe-to-rethink-vaping","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/de_au\/time-for-europe-to-rethink-vaping\/","title":{"rendered":"Ist es Zeit f\u00fcr Europa, das Dampfen neu zu \u00fcberdenken?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Das Dampfen stand in den letzten Monaten ganz oben auf der Agenda der Europ\u00e4ischen Union, und das Europ\u00e4ische Parlament hat seine Version des europ\u00e4ischen Plans zur Krebsbek\u00e4mpfung fertiggestellt. Allerdings kann das Dampfen Teil der L\u00f6sung sein und viele Leben retten, argumentiert Bernd Mayer, Professor f\u00fcr Pharmakologie und Toxikologie an der Universit\u00e4t Graz in \u00d6sterreich.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Das Dampfen ist derzeit in der EU ein hei\u00dfes Thema, und der europ\u00e4ische Plan zur Krebsbek\u00e4mpfung steht vor der T\u00fcr. Wie sollte die EU also mit dem Dampfen umgehen?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ein wichtiger Punkt, den man verstehen muss, ist, dass Dampfen nicht Rauchen ist. Es w\u00e4re ein Fehler, beides gleich zu behandeln. Es ist wissenschaftlich erwiesen, dass Dampfen weniger sch\u00e4dlich ist als Rauchen. Vor dem Hintergrund von 700.000 Todesf\u00e4llen pro Jahr aufgrund von rauchbedingten Krankheiten und mit einer Alternative, die laut Public Health England mindestens 95% weniger sch\u00e4dlich ist, muss die EU Dampfen als Methode zur Schadensminderung f\u00fcr Raucher unterst\u00fctzen.<\/p>\n<p>Im Gegensatz zu herk\u00f6mmlichen Zigaretten geben E-Zigaretten keinen Rauch ab und die Emission giftiger Verbrennungsprodukte wird um 99% reduziert. Aus diesem Grund ist das lebenslange Krebsrisiko f\u00fcr Dampfer hundert- bis tausendmal geringer als f\u00fcr Raucher. Studien zeigen auch, dass sich die Herz-Kreislauf- und Lungenfunktion bei Rauchern, die auf Dampfen umsteigen, drastisch verbessert. Daher ist Dampfen nicht mit einem klinisch relevanten ernsthaften Gesundheitsrisiko verbunden und es gibt Vorteile f\u00fcr die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit, wenn Raucher auf Dampfen umsteigen.<\/p>\n<p><em>Trotz all dieser Beweise gibt es Berichte, die dem Dampfen skeptisch gegen\u00fcberstehen, wie etwa der j\u00fcngste SCHEER-Bericht der Europ\u00e4ischen Kommission.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Der SCHEER-Bericht ist alles andere als ein objektives Forschungspapier. Obwohl die Beurteilung relativer Risiken f\u00fcr den Ansatz der Schadensminderung von zentraler Bedeutung ist, wurde der Bericht so gestaltet, dass kein Vergleich zwischen Dampfen und Rauchen gezogen werden konnte. Dieses Anliegen f\u00fchrte zu einem sinnlosen Papier mit geringem wissenschaftlichen Wert, das das Konzept der Schadensminderung (absichtlich oder nicht) v\u00f6llig ignoriert. Leider nutzen einige Politiker diesen Bericht als Instrument, um f\u00fcr eine ungerechtfertigt strenge Regulierung des Dampfens zu argumentieren.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201eDas \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheitswesen hat im letzten Jahrzehnt seine berechtigten Bem\u00fchungen zur Reduzierung der Raucherquote in einen ungerechtfertigten Krieg gegen Nikotin verwandelt\u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Doch trotz so vieler Forschungsarbeiten ist das Dampfen in vielen L\u00e4ndern nach wie vor sehr umstritten. Warum ist das so?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Tats\u00e4chlich gibt es in der \u00d6ffentlichkeit gravierende Missverst\u00e4ndnisse \u00fcber das Dampfen und seine grundlegenden Unterschiede zum Rauchen. Die Missverst\u00e4ndnisse sind vielf\u00e4ltig, aber die falsche Wahrnehmung von Nikotin ist zweifellos ein besonders beunruhigendes Beispiel von gro\u00dfer Relevanz. 1976 erkl\u00e4rte Prof. Michael Russell, ein Pionier in der Erforschung der Tabakabh\u00e4ngigkeit und der Entwicklung von Entw\u00f6hnungsmitteln: \u201eDie Leute rauchen wegen des Nikotins, aber sie sterben am Teer.\u201c Dennoch hat das \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheitswesen im letzten Jahrzehnt seine berechtigten Bem\u00fchungen zur Reduzierung der Raucherquote in einen ungerechtfertigten Krieg gegen Nikotin verwandelt.<\/p>\n<p>Nikotinhaltige Medikamente wie Nikotinpflaster oder Nikotininhalatoren sind rezeptfrei erh\u00e4ltlich und werden Rauchern von den Gesundheitsbeh\u00f6rden uneingeschr\u00e4nkt empfohlen. Dieselben Beh\u00f6rden warnen jedoch regelm\u00e4\u00dfig vor Nikotin in E-Zigaretten. Sie erkl\u00e4ren diese harmlose Freizeitdroge mit \u00e4hnlichen Eigenschaften wie Koffein pl\u00f6tzlich zu einer starken, giftigen und s\u00fcchtig machenden Droge.
