W\u00e4hrend Sambia mit dem Gesetzesentwurf \u00fcber die Zukunft der Raucherentw\u00f6hnung und Tabakkontrolle nachdenkt, dient das schwedische Modell als eindrucksvolles Beispiel daf\u00fcr, wie sich durch Schadensminderung dauerhafte gesundheitliche Vorteile erzielen lassen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Schweden k\u00f6nnte das erste Land der Welt sein, das den Status eines \u201erauchfreien Landes\u201c erreicht, wenn die Verbreitung des Tabakrauchens in den n\u00e4chsten Monaten unter 51\u00a0TP3T f\u00e4llt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Das schwedische Modell hat Produkte zur Reduzierung der Tabaksch\u00e4den f\u00fcr erwachsene Raucher so zug\u00e4nglich, akzeptabel und erschwinglich wie m\u00f6glich gemacht und damit das Rauchen in einem Land effektiv ausgel\u00f6scht, in dem vor 50 Jahren 491.000 M\u00e4nner regelm\u00e4\u00dfig rauchten.<\/span><\/p>\n

Das Land hat seine Raucherquote von 151 TP3T im Jahr 2008 auf 5,61 TP3T heute gesenkt und die Krebsrate ist um 411 TP3T niedriger als im Rest der EU. Schweden hat auch eine um 39,61 TP3T niedrigere Sterberate aller tabakbedingten Krankheiten als der EU-Durchschnitt und ist eines der drei L\u00e4nder mit der niedrigsten Zahl von Todesf\u00e4llen aufgrund von Lungenkrebs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dieser Erfolg kam nicht von selbst; er war das Ergebnis konzertierter Gesundheitskampagnen, regulatorischer Reformen und der weitverbreiteten Einf\u00fchrung sichererer Nikotinalternativen wie Nikotin-Vaporizern, Snus und oralen Nikotinbeuteln. Diese Produkte sind f\u00fcr schwedische Raucher, die ihren Zigarettenkonsum aufgeben oder reduzieren m\u00f6chten, zu einer akzeptablen Alternative geworden.<\/span><\/p>\n

Neben der F\u00f6rderung sicherer Alternativen hat Schweden umfassende \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheitskampagnen durchgef\u00fchrt, Altersgrenzen f\u00fcr den Tabakkauf eingef\u00fchrt und rauchfreie Zonen in \u00f6ffentlichen Bereichen eingerichtet. Wichtig ist, dass der schwedische Ansatz auf Zusammenarbeit beruht und Regulierungsbeh\u00f6rden, Gesundheitsfachkr\u00e4fte und die breitere Gesellschaft einbezieht, um diesen Erfolg voranzutreiben. Infolgedessen sind rauchbedingte Krankheiten drastisch zur\u00fcckgegangen, was Leben rettet und die Belastung des schwedischen Gesundheitssystems verringert.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Sambia gibt es derzeit etwa 1,1 Millionen Raucher. Jedes Jahr sterben 7.947 Menschen an rauchbedingten Krankheiten. Obwohl Entw\u00f6hnungsprogrammen gro\u00dfe Bedeutung beigemessen wird, werden in den meisten \u00f6ffentlichen Pflegeeinrichtungen des Landes keine umfassenden Entw\u00f6hnungsprogramme angeboten, sodass Rauchern kaum oder gar keine Hilfe zuteilwird.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wenn die schwedischen tabakbedingten Sterberaten in anderen L\u00e4ndern reproduziert w\u00fcrden, k\u00f6nnten mehr als 3,5 Millionen Menschenleben gerettet werden. Diese Erfahrung bietet einen Fahrplan, den Sambia an seine einzigartige sozio\u00f6konomische und gesundheitspolitische Landschaft anpassen kann. Angesichts der wachsenden Bev\u00f6lkerung des Landes und der hohen Raucherzahlen k\u00f6nnte die Einf\u00fchrung einer Schadensminimierungsstrategie wie die Schwedens einen transformativen Einfluss haben.<\/span><\/p>\n
