Mit den aktuellen Strategien zur Schadensminimierung wird die EU voraussichtlich ihr Ziel, bis 2040 eine Raucherquote von 51 TP3T zu erreichen, um volle 60 Jahre verfehlen. L\u00e4nder wie Deutschland haben immer noch eine Raucherquote von rund 30 TP3T, und 15 TP3T der Jugendlichen rauchen ebenfalls. Diese Daten deuten darauf hin, dass die bestehenden Ans\u00e4tze, insbesondere strenge Ma\u00dfnahmen gegen das Dampfen, nicht nur gescheitert sind, sondern die Situation sogar noch verschlimmern k\u00f6nnten. Anstatt diese ineffektiven Ma\u00dfnahmen zu \u00fcberdenken, verdoppeln einige EU-Politiker den Einsatz und schlagen noch strengere Beschr\u00e4nkungen vor, darunter die Beschr\u00e4nkung des Zugangs zu weniger sch\u00e4dlichen Nikotinalternativen wie Dampfen, Nikotinbeuteln und erhitzten Tabakprodukten. Dies ist eine beunruhigende Strategie, insbesondere wenn sicherere Optionen eingeschr\u00e4nkt werden, w\u00e4hrend herk\u00f6mmliche Zigaretten weiterhin verf\u00fcgbar bleiben.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Im Gegensatz dazu haben erfolgreiche Schadensminderungsmodelle in Schweden und Neuseeland durch einen v\u00f6llig anderen Ansatz bedeutende Erfolge im Bereich der \u00f6ffentlichen Gesundheit erzielt. Anstatt einfach Verbote zu verh\u00e4ngen, haben diese L\u00e4nder Rauchern erm\u00f6glicht, auf weniger sch\u00e4dliche Produkte wie Snus, E-Zigaretten und Nikotinbeutel umzusteigen. Schweden beispielsweise hat die niedrigste Raucherquote in Europa und hat die Zahl der rauchbedingten Krankheiten, darunter Krebs, drastisch gesenkt. Indem Schweden den Zugang zu weniger sch\u00e4dlichen Alternativen unterst\u00fctzt, hat es bewiesen, dass Schadensminderung funktioniert und dass pragmatische, verbraucherfreundliche Ma\u00dfnahmen der Schl\u00fcssel sind, um Menschen zum Aufh\u00f6ren zu bewegen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Neuseeland ist ein weiteres \u00fcberzeugendes Beispiel f\u00fcr eine effektive Schadensminderung. In den letzten f\u00fcnf Jahren konnte Neuseeland seine Raucherquote halbieren, vor allem durch die Konzentration auf zug\u00e4ngliche, regulierte Alternativen. Heute ist das Land auf dem besten Weg, das n\u00e4chste rauchfreie Land zu werden, da weniger als 51 Prozent der Erwachsenen rauchen. Neuseelands Erfolg ist ein Beleg daf\u00fcr, dass verbraucherfreundliche, regulierte, risikoreduzierte Nikotinprodukte schnellere und bessere Ergebnisse f\u00fcr die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit erzielen.
