Im Jahr 2022 r\u00e4umte der belgische Gesundheitsrat in einem Bericht an die Regierung ein, dass Dampfen weniger sch\u00e4dlich ist als Rauchen, und empfahl Rauchern, auf Dampfen umzusteigen. Nun fordern die europ\u00e4ischen Mitglieder der World Vapers' Alliance die belgische Regierung auf, die Schadensminderung in der kommenden Amtszeit des Rates als ihre Gesundheitspriorit\u00e4t anzugehen, da keine Fortschritte erzielt wurden.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Letzte Woche ver\u00f6ffentlichte Politico ein Arbeitsprogramm der belgischen Pr\u00e4sidentschaft, in dem es um deren f\u00fcnf Gesundheitspriorit\u00e4ten ging, darunter unter anderem die Belastbarkeit von Gesundheit und Gesundheitssystemen, gesundheitliche Gleichstellung und eine gesunde Bev\u00f6lkerung.<\/p>\n

Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers' Alliance, sagte: \u201eDie Reduzierung der durch Tabak verursachten Sch\u00e4den sollte im Mittelpunkt der Gesundheitspriorit\u00e4ten der EU stehen, da Rauchen in der EU noch immer die h\u00e4ufigste vermeidbare Todesursache ist.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201eEs gibt \u00fcber 1,3 Milliarden Menschen, die immer noch rauchen, davon allein 88 Millionen in der Europ\u00e4ischen Union. Schweden ist ein Vorreiter in Sachen Schadensminderung geworden, da es eine landesweite risikobasierte Politik mit Snus, einem traditionellen rauchfreien Tabakprodukt, verfolgt und seine Steuer um 20% senkt.
