Br\u00fcssel, Belgien, 17.10.2023 \u2014<\/strong> Die europ\u00e4ischen Mitglieder der World Vapers' Alliance fordern die belgische Regierung auf, die Schadensminimierung als gesundheitspolitische Priorit\u00e4t in der kommenden Ratspr\u00e4sidentschaft, die am 1. Januar 2024 beginnt, zu behandeln.<\/p>\n

Politico ver\u00f6ffentlichte heute ein Arbeitsprogramm der belgischen Ratspr\u00e4sidentschaft, das sich mit ihren f\u00fcnf gesundheitspolitischen Priorit\u00e4ten befasst, darunter die Resilienz des Gesundheitswesens und der Gesundheitssysteme, die gesundheitliche Gleichstellung und eine gesunde Bev\u00f6lkerung. \u201cDie Schadensminderung im Zusammenhang mit Tabakkonsum sollte ein Eckpfeiler der gesundheitspolitischen Priorit\u00e4ten der EU sein, da Rauchen immer noch die h\u00e4ufigste vermeidbare Todesursache in der EU ist.\u201d<\/strong><\/em> sagt Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers' Alliance.<\/p>\n

\u201cEs gibt immer noch \u00fcber 1,3 Milliarden Menschen, die rauchen.\u201c 88 Millionen in der Europ\u00e4ischen Union<\/a> Schweden hat sich zu einem Vorreiter in Sachen Schadensminderung entwickelt, indem es eine landesweite risikobasierte Politik verfolgt und die Steuer auf Snus, ein traditionelles rauchloses Tabakprodukt, im Jahr 2014 gesenkt hat.
