Stattdessen setzt sie, ganz in typischer FDA-Manier, ihre Fehlentscheidungen fort, obwohl die meisten Referenten der Veranstaltung anhand fundierter wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse und Daten bewiesen haben, dass diese dem amerikanischen Volk schaden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ich hatte das Vergn\u00fcgen, am diesj\u00e4hrigen ECIG-Gipfel am 16. Mai in Washington DC teilzunehmen.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.Dr. Brian King hielt die Hauptrede und er\u00f6ffnete den Tag mit den \u00fcblichen Informationen, die man vom CTP der FDA kennt. King sprach \u00fcber die Zukunft von Mentholzigaretten und aromatisierten Zigarren, die bis Ende des Jahres verboten werden sollen. Er lobte sich selbst f\u00fcr die Genehmigung von 23 der 26 Millionen PMTA-Antr\u00e4ge und deutete an, dass in naher Zukunft eine Nikotinobergrenze eingef\u00fchrt werden k\u00f6nnte.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So ern\u00fcchternd dieser Auftakt auch war, wurden im Laufe des restlichen Tages viele gro\u00dfartige Pr\u00e4sentationen und Daten vorgestellt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Im Anschluss an Kings Pr\u00e4sentation sprach Professor Kenneth Warner von der Universit\u00e4t Michigan.<\/span><a href=\"\/de_au\/blank\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201dWenn das Dampfen ein Einstieg ins Zigarettenrauchen ist, welche Folgen hat das?\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Warner besprach eine Studie von JAMA und eine Studie von SRNT, in der er darlegte, dass das Dampfen unter Jugendlichen kein Einstieg ins Zigarettenrauchen sei.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eine meiner Lieblingspr\u00e4sentationen des Tages hielt Abigail Friedman, PhD, von der Yale School of Public Health.<\/span><a href=\"\/de_au\/blank\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Friedman behandelte die Auswirkungen von Geschmacksverboten.<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> In den Bundesstaaten, die diese Verbote durchsetzen, gab es entsprechende Berichte. Ihre politischen Vorschl\u00e4ge, basierend auf diesen Daten, lauteten: 1. Beschr\u00e4nkung des Verkaufs aller Tabakprodukte und aromatisierten E-Zigaretten auf lizenzierte Einzelh\u00e4ndler ab 21 Jahren. \u2022 Politisch einfachere Option: Verbot von Tabakwaren-Displays und Tabakw\u00e4nden in Lokalen, die Minderj\u00e4hrige unter 21 Jahren zulassen. Beschr\u00e4nkung neuer Tabakverkaufslizenzen auf Lokale ab 21 Jahren. 2. Bestrafung von Marken mit einem \u00fcberproportional hohen Anteil an Konsumenten unter Minderj\u00e4hrigen. \u2022 Der Konsum von Zigarren durch Minderj\u00e4hrige macht 111.000 der Konsumtage in den USA aus. \u2022 Sechs Zigarrenmarken sind f\u00fcr 88.000 dieser Konsumtage verantwortlich.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In der zweiten Sitzung des Gipfels hatten wir die Gelegenheit, meinen Lieblingshelden im Bereich Schadensminimierung, Clive Bates, zu h\u00f6ren. Bates&#039; Pr\u00e4sentation <\/span><a href=\"\/de_au\/blank\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFalsche Risikowahrnehmungen und der Einsatz von Schaden als Abschreckungsmittel\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Clive entt\u00e4uschte nicht. Er beleuchtete die gravierenden Fehleinsch\u00e4tzungen der Risiken von E-Zigaretten und Nikotin im Allgemeinen. Au\u00dferdem ging er auf die geheime Operation EVALI ein und erkl\u00e4rte, warum wir Nikotin neu definieren m\u00fcssen. Er wies auch darauf hin, dass die Entwicklung eines neuen Craft-Biers und dessen Markteinf\u00fchrung keinen APPH-Standard erf\u00fcllen und dass wir akzeptieren sollten, dass Dampfen ein ebenso genussvolles Erlebnis mit weniger Sch\u00e4dlichkeit als Alkohol sein kann.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Der Tag verlief \u00e4hnlich, jeder einzelne Referent schien seine Munition in Form von Wissenschaft und Daten direkt gegen die FDA gerichtet zu haben.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die beste Frage des Tages kam vom ehemaligen Generalstaatsanwalt von Iowa, Tom Miller. Er fragte unverbl\u00fcmt, wie die FDA die Erfolge und wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisse des Gipfeltreffens ignorieren und ihren Regulierungsprozess nicht so \u00e4ndern k\u00f6nne, dass er Rauchern tats\u00e4chlich beim Aufh\u00f6ren hilft. Die FDA verwies auf die ihr vom Kongress auferlegte Verantwortung, r\u00e4umte aber gleichzeitig die Bedeutung der Informationen ein.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bereits am n\u00e4chsten Tag bewies die FDA erneut, dass sie aus diesen wichtigen Informationen nichts gelernt hatte, indem sie eine<\/span><a href=\"\/de_au\/blank\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Einfuhrverbot f\u00fcr bestimmte Einwegprodukte.<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Am Tag darauf ver\u00f6ffentlichten sie ein <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/tobacco-products\/ctp-newsroom\/fda-denies-marketing-250-flavored-and-tobacco-flavored-e-liquids\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Erkl\u00e4rung zu weiteren ausgestellten MDOs.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ich vermute, die FDA hat nicht vor, ihre Entscheidungen auf Wissenschaft und Daten zu st\u00fctzen; stattdessen richtet sie noch mehr Chaos an und f\u00fchrt die USA in einen gef\u00e4hrlichen illegalen Markt, indem sie Produkte von Unternehmen ablehnt, die sich an die Vorschriften halten und fair reguliert werden wollen.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The FDA could have learned a lot at the ECIG Summit in DC this year.
