Mai 2023 \u2014<\/strong> Am heutigen Weltnichtrauchertag \u00e4u\u00dferten Mitglieder des Europ\u00e4ischen Parlaments ihre Besorgnis \u00fcber den EU-Ansatz zur Raucherentw\u00f6hnung und betonten die Notwendigkeit eines vern\u00fcnftigen, risikobasierten Ansatzes nach schwedischem Vorbild. Wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse, die Erfahrungen der Konsumenten und nun auch das schwedische Beispiel beweisen, dass Schadensminimierung zum Erreichen einer rauchfreien Gesellschaft beitr\u00e4gt. Damit haben wir einen unbestreitbaren Beweis daf\u00fcr, dass die EU-weite Regulierung risikobasiert und evidenzbasiert sein muss.\u201d<\/em> sagte Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers&#039; Alliance.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em>\u201cPolitik sollte auf Fakten basieren. Die WHO wird Schweden aufgrund seiner Ma\u00dfnahmen zur Schadensminderung und der weitverbreiteten Verwendung von Snus bald als erstes rauchfreies Land Europas einstufen. Schweden bietet eine breite Palette an Produkten zur Schadensminderung an: Snus, Nikotinbeutel, E-Zigaretten usw. Die Menschen haben die Wahl!\u201d <\/em>kommentierte der Europaabgeordnete Charlie Weimers.<em> \u201cSchweden reduziert den Schaden, und das funktioniert sehr gut.\u201d<\/em> schloss der Europaabgeordnete Weimers.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Um die Wirkung des schwedischen Modells zu unterstreichen, sagte der Europaabgeordnete Johann Nissinen: <em>\u201cEs ist unbestreitbar, dass Rauchen t\u00f6tet, und wir m\u00fcssen alles daransetzen, diese unn\u00f6tigen Todesf\u00e4lle zu verhindern. Schweden ist das beste Beispiel daf\u00fcr, wie dies gelingen kann, n\u00e4mlich durch einen pragmatischen Ansatz zur Schadensminimierung. Es ist das einzige Land in der EU, in dem Snus legal und beliebt ist; 181 Prozent der Bev\u00f6lkerung konsumieren ihn. Der Konsum von Snus anstelle von Zigaretten hat vielen Schweden das Leben gerettet. Es ist an der Zeit, dass die EU-Kommission diese Realit\u00e4t anerkennt und entsprechend handelt.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em>\u201cSnus wird seit dem 19. Jahrhundert verwendet, wir verf\u00fcgen also \u00fcber mehr als zweihundert Jahre Fallstudien, die belegen, dass die Schadensminderung beim Tabakkonsum funktioniert. Snus ist eine hervorragende M\u00f6glichkeit, weiterhin Nikotin zu konsumieren, ohne die sch\u00e4dlichen Chemikalien, die man durch herk\u00f6mmliche Zigaretten aufnimmt.\u201d<\/em> sagte Carissa D\u00fcring, die Direktorin der Considerate Poachers. <em>\u201cViele L\u00e4nder in Europa versuchen, alternative Nikotinprodukte \u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfig zu regulieren oder zu verbieten. Die politischen Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger glauben, dass ein Verbot diese Produkte verschwinden l\u00e4sst. Wir wissen, dass das nicht stimmt.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em>\u201cDer Weltnichtrauchertag ist eine traurige Erinnerung daran, dass ein neuer Ansatz im Kampf gegen das Rauchen n\u00f6tig ist. Anstatt weniger sch\u00e4dliche Alternativen wie E-Zigaretten oder Pouches zu bek\u00e4mpfen, muss die EU endlich die Realit\u00e4t anerkennen: Schadensminderung wirkt!
