{"id":373,"date":"2021-10-21T17:55:34","date_gmt":"2021-10-21T21:55:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cccwva.wpengine.com\/?p=373"},"modified":"2022-07-05T12:50:46","modified_gmt":"2022-07-05T16:50:46","slug":"consumers-demand-who-to-listen-to-science-and-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldvapersalliance.com\/de_au\/consumers-demand-who-to-listen-to-science-and-people\/","title":{"rendered":"Die Verbraucher fordern von der WHO, auf Wissenschaft und Bev\u00f6lkerung zu h\u00f6ren."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Anfang dieser Woche trafen sich 100 f\u00fchrende Experten auf dem Gebiet der Tabakschadensminderung \u2013 darunter auch der wissenschaftliche Berater der WVA, Prof. Bernhard Mayer \u2013<a href=\"https:\/\/clivebates.com\/one-hundred-specialists-call-for-who-to-change-stance-on-tobacco-harm-reduction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">\u00a0eine klare Botschaft an die WHO<\/a>:\u00a0<strong>Der Krieg gegen das Dampfen und andere Alternativen muss ein Ende haben!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Mendelsohn, ein australischer Experte, hat deutlich gemacht, dass der aktuelle Anti-Vaping-Ansatz der WHO \u201c<em>f\u00fchrt zu mehr Tod und Leid durch das Rauchen<\/em>\u201dUnd er hat Recht! Das Dampfen hat bereits Millionen von Rauchern geholfen, endg\u00fcltig mit dem Rauchen aufzuh\u00f6ren. Die WHO muss endlich auf die Verbraucher und die Wissenschaft h\u00f6ren, um weltweit 200 Millionen Leben zu retten.<\/p>\n<p>Die World Vapers&#039; Alliance steht voll und ganz hinter den Experten und fordert die WHO dringend auf, ihre aktuelle Position zu E-Zigaretten und \u00e4hnlichen Alternativen zu \u00fcberdenken. Im Folgenden pr\u00e4sentieren wir unsere drei Hauptforderungen an die Weltgesundheitsorganisation im Vorfeld ihrer Tabakkontrollkonferenz COP9 im November:<\/p>\n<p><strong>WAS VERBRAUCHER VON DER WHO ERWARTEN:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DIE ANERKENNUNG UND EINBEZIEHUNG VON METHODEN ZUR REDUZIERUNG VON TABAKSCH\u00c4DEN<\/li>\n<li>DAS RECHT AUF ZUGANG UND BEZAHLBARKEIT F\u00dcR VERBRAUCHER<\/li>\n<li>DIE EFFEKTIVE TEILNAHME DER VERBRAUCHER AN DEN DISKUSSIONEN AUF DER COP9<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Millionen von Konsumenten weltweit haben mithilfe weniger sch\u00e4dlicher Alternativen mit dem Rauchen aufgeh\u00f6rt. Produkte zur Schadensminimierung (E-Zigaretten, Nikotinbeutel, Snus u. a.) k\u00f6nnen Millionen von Leben retten. Es gibt zahlreiche Belege f\u00fcr diese Argumente.<\/p>\n<p>Daher fordern wir die Unterst\u00fctzung alternativer Methoden zur Tabakschadensminderung und eine angemessene Vertretung w\u00e4hrend der COP9.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Die Weltgesundheitsorganisation muss die Tabakschadensminderung unterst\u00fctzen.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Rauchen ist eine der Hauptursachen f\u00fcr Krankheit und Tod weltweit. Jedes Jahr sterben mehr als acht Millionen Menschen an den Folgen des Rauchens, wobei fast 991.040 tabakbedingte Todesf\u00e4lle direkt auf das Rauchen selbst zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren sind \u2013 nicht auf andere Formen des Nikotinkonsums. Die Reduzierung der Raucherzahlen und die Erm\u00f6glichung eines schnellen und effizienten Umstiegs auf eine weniger sch\u00e4dliche Alternative sollten daher h\u00f6chste Priorit\u00e4t f\u00fcr die WHO und die Gesundheitsbeh\u00f6rden weltweit haben.<\/p>\n<p>Aktuell behandelt die WHO weniger sch\u00e4dliche Alternativen jedoch genauso wie das Rauchen. Die WHO muss ihren Ansatz \u00e4ndern und die Schadensminimierung f\u00f6rdern. Sie muss sich darauf konzentrieren, Rauchern beim Aufh\u00f6ren zu helfen, anstatt Zeit mit der Bek\u00e4mpfung von Produkten zu verschwenden, die dasselbe bewirken.<\/p>\n<p>Trotz des Bekenntnisses des Rahmen\u00fcbereinkommens zur Eind\u00e4mmung des Tabakkonsums (FCTC) zur Schadensminderung im Zusammenhang mit Tabakkonsum fordern die WHO und das FCTC-Sekretariat weiterhin strengere Vorschriften f\u00fcr weniger sch\u00e4dliche Alternativen.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Gew\u00e4hrleistung des Zugangs zu und der Bezahlbarkeit von weniger sch\u00e4dlichen Alternativen<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Um die Raucherquote zu senken, m\u00fcssen wir\u00a0<em>alle\u00a0<\/em>M\u00f6gliche Methoden, die sich als erfolgreich erweisen. Das bedeutet auch sicherzustellen, dass diese Produkte verf\u00fcgbar und erschwinglich sind und Informationen dar\u00fcber zug\u00e4nglich sind.<\/p>\n<p>Wir verf\u00fcgen bereits \u00fcber Beispiele aus der Praxis, die zeigen, was der Zugang zu Methoden der Schadensminderung bewirken kann.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In Gro\u00dfbritannien empfiehlt Public Health England, eine dem Gesundheitsministerium unterstellte Beh\u00f6rde, Rauchern aktiv den Umstieg auf E-Zigaretten. Die Raucherquote in Gro\u00dfbritannien ist seit 2013 (dem Jahr, in dem das Dampfen popul\u00e4r wurde) um 251 Prozent gesunken. Im Gegensatz dazu ging die Raucherquote in Australien, das einige der weltweit strengsten Regulierungen f\u00fcr E-Zigaretten hat, im gleichen Zeitraum lediglich um 81 Prozent zur\u00fcck.<\/li>\n<li>Dank der Offenheit gegen\u00fcber Snus, einer Form von rauchlosem Tabak, weist Schweden mit nur 71 % die niedrigste Raucherquote unter Erwachsenen in der entwickelten Welt auf. Dies f\u00fchrt zu einer geringeren Anzahl von durch Rauchen verursachten Krankheiten. Norwegen konnte aufgrund seiner Offenheit gegen\u00fcber Snus \u00e4hnliche Erfolge erzielen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Die WHO muss ihren Kampf gegen das Dampfen und andere innovative Instrumente zur Schadensminderung beenden. Empfehlungen f\u00fcr h\u00f6here Steuern, Aromenverbote oder ein vollst\u00e4ndiges Verbot m\u00fcssen zur\u00fcckgezogen werden.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Die Stimmen von Konsumenten und Organisationen im Bereich der Tabakschadensminderung m\u00fcssen geh\u00f6rt werden.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In den letzten Jahren hat die WHO die Beteiligung von Verbrauchern und Experten f\u00fcr Schadensminderung an ihren Entscheidungsprozessen abgelehnt. Sie hat sich zu einer abgeschotteten Institution entwickelt, einem Resonanzraum der Tabakkontrollgruppen, deren Weltsicht mindestens 30 Jahre alt ist.<\/p>\n<p>Medien und \u00d6ffentlichkeit sind von der Beobachtung und Teilnahme an den Verhandlungen der COP ausgeschlossen. Das Ignorieren der Stimmen, Erfahrungen und des umfassenden Wissens von Experten f\u00fcr Schadensminderung und Konsumenten schadet dem Anliegen. Es widerspricht Transparenz und guter Regierungsf\u00fchrung.<\/p>\n<p>Wir fordern die WHO auf, das faktische Verbot offener Debatten w\u00e4hrend der COP aufzuheben und neue Dialogplattformen f\u00fcr verschiedene Interessengruppen einzurichten. Raucher und Ex-Raucher, Konsumenten weniger sch\u00e4dlicher Alternativen sowie unabh\u00e4ngige Experten f\u00fcr Tabakschadensminderung m\u00fcssen bei Entscheidungsprozessen mitreden k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n<p>Wir fordern die WHO und das FCTC-Sekretariat dringend auf, neue Ans\u00e4tze zu unterst\u00fctzen und Innovationen im Bereich der Schadensminderung zu f\u00f6rdern, anstatt Millionen von Verbrauchern und Experten auf diesem Gebiet zu ignorieren.
