Laut einer Ank\u00fcndigung von Bloombergs Organisation in der vergangenen Woche liegt der Fokus dabei auf traditionellen Ma\u00dfnahmen zur Raucherpr\u00e4vention, wie der Ausweitung von Warnhinweisen und rauchfreien Zonen, sowie auf der Unterst\u00fctzung verschiedener Ma\u00dfnahmen gegen E-Zigaretten, beispielsweise Aromaverboten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aber warum glaubt Michael Bloomberg, dass er es am besten wei\u00df und die Befugnis haben sollte, erwachsenen Rauchern und Dampfern diese Art von Entscheidungsfindung aufzuzwingen?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bloomberg ist ber\u00fcchtigt daf\u00fcr, Dinge zu verbieten, die ihm nicht gefallen; 2012, als ich noch in New York lebte, schlug B\u00fcrgermeister Bloomberg ein Verbot des Verkaufs gro\u00dfer zuckerhaltiger Getr\u00e4nke vor. New York war au\u00dferdem die erste Gro\u00dfstadt, die den Tabakverkauf an Personen unter 21 Jahren verbot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bloomberg hegt ganz offensichtlich eine unverhohlene Verachtung f\u00fcr Raucher und Dampfer gleicherma\u00dfen. Er ignoriert Fakten und wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse und behandelt uns wie B\u00fcrger zweiter Klasse. Wenn Bloomberg die USA wirklich vom Rauchen befreien wollte, w\u00e4ren die 1,5 Millionen US-Dollar besser daf\u00fcr ausgegeben, Raucher zum Umstieg auf eine deutlich sicherere Alternative zu bewegen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bloombergs taktische Philanthropie gibt ihm die M\u00f6glichkeit, Einfluss zu nehmen und seine Erz\u00e4hlung durchzusetzen, egal wie schlecht sie f\u00fcr ehemalige Raucher sein mag, die jetzt auf E-Zigaretten angewiesen sind, um von Tabakerzeugnissen wegzukommen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Diese Art von gro\u00dfz\u00fcgiger Philanthropie schadet der \u00d6ffentlichkeit mehr, als sie n\u00fctzt, aber wie wir alle nur zu gut wissen, bedeutet auch gespendetes Geld Macht.
