Doch nun sitze ich hier im Jahr 2023 und lese Brian Kings Buch.<\/span> neuester Artikel,<\/span><\/a> Ich frage mich, wie wir hierher gekommen sind?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Viele glauben, dass Konsumenten und kleine Vape-Shop-Besitzer hier in den USA gegen Regulierungen sind. Das stimmt einfach nicht. Wir wollen faire Regulierungen, klare Richtlinien und Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr kleine Unternehmen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Diese j\u00fcngsten \u00c4u\u00dferungen lassen mich wenig hoffen, dass die FDA jemals eine dieser Optionen in Betracht ziehen wird, geschweige denn die erwachsenen Raucher, die auf E-Zigaretten umgestiegen sind, \u00fcberhaupt zur Kenntnis nehmen wird.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wie erwartet, lobt sich King selbst f\u00fcr seinen Vorschlag zum Verbot von Mentholzigaretten und aromatisierten Zigarren, die absurde Idee, dass Zigaretten mit niedrigem Nikotingehalt das Leben von Rauchern retten w\u00fcrden, und die \u2019preisgekr\u00f6nten Tabakaufkl\u00e4rungskampagnen\u201c wie The Real Cost.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Anschlie\u00dfend behauptete er, die Wissenschaft sei bei den Entscheidungen der FDA richtungsweisend, und erkl\u00e4rte:\u201c<\/span>Die Wissenschaft spielt eine zentrale Rolle bei regulatorischen Entscheidungen im Tabakbereich. Als ausgebildeter Wissenschaftler bin ich mir der entscheidenden Bedeutung bewusst, die besten verf\u00fcgbaren wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisse zu sammeln und zu nutzen sowie unsere Ergebnisse zu teilen und mit der wissenschaftlichen Gemeinschaft zusammenzuarbeiten, um gemeinsam die Chancengleichheit im Gesundheitswesen zu verbessern.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Jedem Unternehmen, das einen PMTA eingereicht hat, sei gesagt, dass diese Aussage l\u00e4cherlich und ehrlich gesagt beleidigend ist.<\/span><\/p>\n

Das Beleidigendste an Kings Aussage ist jedoch die v\u00f6llige Ignoranz gegen\u00fcber den erwachsenen Rauchern, die auf E-Zigaretten umgestiegen sind. Fast so, als w\u00e4ren wir ihnen v\u00f6llig egal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

King hat Konsumenten und der kleinen E-Zigarettenindustrie immer wieder ein offenes Forum verweigert, um Bedenken zu \u00e4u\u00dfern und Fragen zu stellen. Gleichzeitig hat er solche Gespr\u00e4che mit Gruppen gef\u00fchrt, die gegen das Dampfen sind, wie beispielsweise \u2026<\/span> Robin Koval von der Truth Initiative. <\/span><\/a>Es hinterl\u00e4sst bei uns das Gef\u00fchl, dass unsere Stimmen niemals geh\u00f6rt werden.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wir werden niemals aufh\u00f6ren, f\u00fcr unser Recht auf Schadensminimierung zu k\u00e4mpfen, und wir hoffen inst\u00e4ndig, dass das Jahr 2023 uns Klarheit und offene Kommunikation bringt, bevor dieser ohnehin schon angeschlagenen Branche weiterer Schaden zugef\u00fcgt wird. <\/span><\/p>\n
