Leider geht die Strategie nicht auf eine der Hauptursachen ein \u2013 das Rauchen. Die Kampagnenorganisation World Vapers&#039; Alliance fordert daher, dass Ma\u00dfnahmen zur Schadensminderung im Tabakkonsum in eine solche Strategie zur Bek\u00e4mpfung rauchbedingter Krankheiten einbezogen werden m\u00fcssen.<\/h4>\n<p>Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers&#039; Alliance, kommentierte: <i>\u201cDie EU-Kommission ignoriert erneut Wissenschaft und Verbraucherstimmen. Die Schadensminderung im Tabakkonsum muss ein zentraler Bestandteil aller Gesundheitspolitiken der EU werden. Jedes Jahr sterben 700.000 Menschen an den Folgen des Rauchens, und gleichzeitig bek\u00e4mpft die Kommission weniger sch\u00e4dliche Alternativen. Die Wissenschaft ist eindeutig: Dampfen ist weitaus weniger sch\u00e4dlich als Rauchen und eines der wirksamsten Hilfsmittel zur Raucherentw\u00f6hnung.
