Amsterdam, 30.9.2022.<\/b> Diese Woche endete die zweite Konsultation zu einem m\u00f6glichen Aromenverbot in den Niederlanden. Dies zeigt erneut, dass Verbraucher die negativen Folgen eines solchen Verbots bef\u00fcrchten. Trotz der Tatsache, dass es sich bereits um die zweite Konsultation zu diesem Thema handelte, gingen \u00fcber 1.500 Stellungnahmen ein.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Regierung hatte bereits letztes Jahr eine Konsultation eingeleitet, in deren Verlauf sich 981.040 Personen gegen das Verbot aussprachen. Leider ignorierte die Regierung diese Stimmen und setzte das Aromenverbot durch. Urspr\u00fcnglich sollte das Gesetz am 1. Juli 2022 in Kraft treten. Aufgrund des Widerstands von Dampfern und technischer Probleme im urspr\u00fcnglichen Gesetzestext wurde es jedoch verschoben. <\/span>verschoben bis Ende dieses Jahres<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Michael Landl, Direktor der World Vapers' Alliance (WVA), kommentierte die Konsultation wie folgt:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDie niederl\u00e4ndische Regierung hat zum zweiten Mal eine klare Botschaft erhalten: Es ist an der Zeit, diese verheerende Idee der Aromenverbote zu verwerfen und einen Neuanfang zu wagen. Aus Respekt vor den B\u00fcrgern und auf Grundlage wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse ist die Aufhebung des Aromenverbots der einzig gangbare Weg. Alles andere w\u00e4re eine Schande. Zwei Konsultationen durchzuf\u00fchren und die Ergebnisse dann zu ignorieren, w\u00e4re eine Schande.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Die zentrale Aussage der beiden Konsultationen ist, dass dieses vorgeschlagene Verbot \u00e4u\u00dferst unpopul\u00e4r ist und sehr negative Folgen f\u00fcr die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit h\u00e4tte. Das Verbot birgt die Gefahr, dass... <\/span>260.000 niederl\u00e4ndische Dampfer greifen wieder zu Zigaretten<\/span><\/a> und w\u00fcrde den derzeitigen Rauchern eine wichtige Chance verwehren, ihre t\u00f6dliche Gewohnheit ein f\u00fcr alle Mal aufzugeben.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAromen sind unerl\u00e4sslich, da sie die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines Rauchstopps mehr als verdoppeln im Vergleich zu geschmacksneutralen E-Zigaretten. Ein Verbot von Aromen w\u00fcrde Dampfer nur zum R\u00fcckfall ins Rauchen verleiten und Raucher vom Aufh\u00f6ren abhalten. Dampfen hat weltweit Millionen von Menschen geholfen, mit dem Rauchen aufzuh\u00f6ren, und ist deutlich weniger sch\u00e4dlich als Zigaretten. Angesichts der \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigenden Resonanz auf die \u00f6ffentliche Konsultation muss die Regierung ihr geplantes Verbot von Aromen in E-Zigaretten zur\u00fcckziehen, um eine Katastrophe f\u00fcr die \u00f6ffentliche Gesundheit zu verhindern.\u201d<\/span><\/i> f\u00fcgte Landl hinzu.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Im Rahmen der Konsultation organisierte die WVA eine Lichtshow in Amsterdam, um auf die Bedeutung von Aromen in E-Zigaretten aufmerksam zu machen. Parallel zur laufenden Debatte\u2026 <\/span>Die WVA traf sich ebenfalls in Den Haag.<\/span><\/a> Anfang des Jahres appellierte die WVA an die Politik, sich gegen das Verbot von Aromen in E-Zigaretten auszusprechen. Vor dem niederl\u00e4ndischen Parlament pr\u00e4sentierte die WVA eine Kunstinstallation mit der einfachen Botschaft: \u201cAromen helfen Rauchern beim Aufh\u00f6ren.\u201d In den Jahren 2021 und 2022 sandten die WVA und ihre Mitglieder Dutzende Briefe an niederl\u00e4ndische Politiker und Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger, um sie \u00fcber die sch\u00e4dlichen Auswirkungen eines m\u00f6glichen Aromenverbots im Land zu informieren.
